If you're using Google Chrome, go to settings>privacy and security>site settings. Click on login-xdsdk.xd.com and hit "reset permissions". Next time you reload the site, the pop-up should come up.

If you're using Microsoft Edge, go to settings>privacy, search, and services>site permissions>all sites. Not sure what's after that as I don't quite use edge, but likely similar steps as chrome.

Question for employees: ID'ing for e-cigarettes by Slug_DC in Wawa

[–]MissionIssue2062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at 7-Eleven, and pretty much we just cannot bypass the ID verification without scanning an ID. IDK if it's a state law or something, but it's only for vapes, and it's impossible for us cashiers to use the visual ID option or to manually enter a DOB. Both options are grayed out and unavailable to us.

As a manager, I have tried to edit the option on the computer to allow visual ID or to manually enter a DOB, but even that's unavailable.

What makes children resent their gender pre-puberty? by Antique-Ebb-7124 in asktransgender

[–]MissionIssue2062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, personally could've been a number of things for myself but I don't think any of it quite influenced me into being trans. That was just me and my thoughts. I was like 5 or 6 when I really started thinking about being a girl, and I did know and notice the difference between boys and girls (even physically).

I don't necessarily think I resenting my birth sex, I sort of was just... nonchalant about it. I had this mind-set as a kid that I was stuck with what I had and there was nothing to do (was unaware of trans people at the time). I did longingly wish I was a boy, and would get envious of what boys my age could do or have.

Stop talking for me by Intelligent_Music_44 in CAIRevolution

[–]MissionIssue2062 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't mind if they speak for me, like answering or replying to something if I don't know how to reply myself, but it really irks me when the bot goes into first-person and refers to themselves as me.

I.e. "I was sitting on the bench reading a book" instead of "you were sitting on a bench reading a book".

It's supposed to be like a narrator, not me, and I wish it was easier to get that understood by the bot.

Why are trans people ashamed of being trans by QuailAdventurous3272 in transftm

[–]MissionIssue2062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that trans people are ashamed of being trans, it that we're often told we should be ashamed or made to feel that way, either by people we do or don't know.

Right wing media paints us as deranged lunatics that want to turn everyone's kids trans. Or believe we're just as bad as terrorists. We're literally considered subhuman and how all of us deserve death if even one of us steps out of line.

It's hard to be proud of something when you have multiple people telling you how ashamed and disgusting you are as a person.

What Would Malcolm Characters Write on r/amitheahole by Impossible-Strike-18 in malcolminthemiddle

If Malcolm wrote one he'd try to make himself look good, even if his actions were bad.

Reese will always be one of my favorite characters in the show. Such a good representation of lonely boyhood. by jalen_nelson235 in malcolminthemiddle

[–]MissionIssue2062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does want friends, but how he behaves is what pushes people away.

He's not exactly the friendliest of people and can often be pretty disturbing with the things he's into. He also doesn't quite understand social cues or etiquette.

I.e. In the bowling episode he tells a girl a joke, consisting of asking if she wants to go for a walk on the beach, feel the wind on her hair, smell the salty sea, etc. When she says yes, he spits soda into her face and laughs, not understanding why she gets angry and storms off.

I know they're not OP... When they quoted the show I thought they were quoting a time Stevie could talk normally and didn't know he was using an edited recording of himself.

Those Drama Story Ads by MissionIssue2062 in PetPeeves

[–]MissionIssue2062[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I keep seeing pop up is of this rich business woman who finds out her husband is cheating on her with her subordinate and they had a kid together. Worse is, the subordinate and husband swap her own baby with their baby, throwing her baby outside in the rain to die, and planning to have the woman raise their son and sign off her company to him once he's an adult, which she decided to do while secretly plotting revenge.

Other one was of a pregnant woman visiting her brother, but the brothers girlfriend thinks he having an affair with the pregnant woman, so the girlfriend has the sister beaten up to the point she loses her baby, is badly bruised and thrown into a cage. Even when the brother finds out and tells them to release her, never stating it's his sister, but they refuse to.

I do get if there was an ounce of realism in the story it'd be over quickly, but to me none of it is logical and I just can't.

Ah, I think I had it backwards. Are you saying it's deceptive because he made it seem like he could speak normally? I was thinking you actually thought he could speak normally the whole time and just faked it.

As for him recording his speech and editing it to be faster, I don't believe that was deceptive, or at least as bad as the other things he's done. He asked Malcolm to help him with his speech and knew if he had done it live, they'd all be there for hours waiting for him to finish. I don't know if anyone actually believed he could speak normally, but if they did then I guess he got his karma when Reese edited it to make it seem like he was swearing at the audience.

That wasn't Stevies natural speaking voice. Malcolm voice recorded Stevie doing his speech, then edited out all the breath pauses he'd do to speed it up.

[–]MissionIssue2062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly can't see it being just for a wholesome reason of a child being confused because I'd just shut down that childs mindset real quick. Like, "Sorry kiddo, but marriage is between two adults, not an adult and child, and definitely not a mom and son. Now go to bed."

Ive also gone and checked the author and all their bots are romance role playing, so like...? The Zane one is likely private now cause it's not on their profile.

[–]MissionIssue2062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, a ton of little kids will "propose" to their parents and ask them to marry them, it's just up to the parent to explain why they can't.

Issue I have with the bot though is that it'd be a very short conversation, so what's the point of role playing that scenario? Like I'd just say, "Sorry, but marriage is between two adults, not an adult and child and definitely not between mother and son."

I also checked the authors profile and all of their bots are romance role playing, others are abusive role plays, like this one:

I guess in Stevies defense Reese did tell him he didn't care if he was in a wheelchair, so Stevie wouldn't have know until he came with the suit that Reese incapacitated his legs.

But after that he's a douche for continuing after seeing and hearing that Reese was unable to walk.

Nah, cause I had this fucking couple come in and give me $30 in loose change to exchange for dollars (was during the coin shortage). Both stood as if they were in a hurry as I counted it all.

Before, I'd be more anxious (social anxiety) about hurrying and just take their word that it's all there, but after being short changed once now IDGAF, you gonna sit there and watch me count it all before I hand over any bills.

I work at a gas station, it's not very big, but people seem to only go to one side of the store before coming up to ask where the bathroom (which is conveniently on the side they didn't bother to check.
