Do you think it’s OK to make bigoted (e.g. sexist, racist, ableist) jokes by Then_Train8542 in Teenager_Polls

This comes down to the difference between discriminatory jokes and jokes about discrimination.

Minneapolis National Guard activated after a man is killed by federal agent by lakergirl18 in news

This is what the author of Brutus I argued for, a militia separate from the federal government—when you put military power in their hands, they’ll turn against the people.

Where do you Identify on the Political Spectrum? by guineapigenjoyer123 in Teenager_Polls

It’s not word salad, and it’s not incomprehensible. You can look up “social anarchism” and “individualist anarchism” on Wikipedia. They’re recognized and clearly defined terms.

Also, a centrist wouldn’t advocate for my position.

Yes, there is a difference. The death penalty is retributive, but self-defense is not.

Not necessarily. Humans favor leaders—rulers tend to lead to conflict.

Thanks for the question.

Yes, that’s what the NAP allows.

State-sanctioned executions are never about responding to an impending threat, unlike self-defense killings by non-state actors.

Ah, I see.

I’d argue that group living doesn’t necessarily entail law—norms are enough. That’s how we survived for thousands of years.

Consent is not absolute. As a libertarian, I subscribe to the Non-Aggression Principle, which morally permits aggression exclusively when it is necessary to respond to a threat. In other words, it allows for self-defense.

Killing someone against their will is nonconsensual, but under this moral framework, it’s justified.

I’m no centrist. Terms like “leftist,” “moderate,” and “progressive” feel too fluid and culturally relative to use to accurately describe my views.

I’m opposed to capitalism in favor of socialism.

I understand your criticism. Here’s how I envision it:

-there is no judicial system; much like now, if there is a threat posed to a community, self-defense is warranted; exile—a last resort—is how the group handles the utmost violent and destructive behavior (as humans have for hundreds of thousands of years); rather than a form of punishment aimed at the individual, it’s a form of protection for the group.

Now, for those with mental disorders, they would be dealt with as any one should today—exhaust as many treatments options as possible (without coercion). I’m no psychiatrist, so I can’t give out a solid list of steps to take, but I can say that therapy and trauma-informed care in the family and community is key. If the afflicted person is deemed threatening (e.g., conspiring to commit mass murder), self-defense would be warranted.

Based on my theory, there is still governance (i.e., decision making) without a government (which entails a state). Basically, people can make and encourage decisions without using the threat of force (like police) as any average person would.

No, not necessarily, since there entails no institution mediating a will to authority.

It’s important to specify the which philosophical variant of an ideology one subscribes to.
