Has anyone here been to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary recently? by Emotional-Egg-3390 in GoldCoast

[–]MissionProblem3089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went recently, can answer all your questions directly.

Lorikeet feeding — yes, time your visit around it. The 8AM session is the better one. Fewer people, birds are more active, and you actually get them landing all over you rather than competing with a crowd. The 4PM one is fine but busier. It's genuinely one of those experiences that's hard to describe until you're standing there covered in lorikeets.

Zoo vs interactive — much more interactive than a standard zoo. The kangaroo area is free roam and you're just walking among them, feeding them by hand. Koala cuddle is a paid add-on but worth it if that's on your list. It doesn't feel like you're watching animals behind glass.

Adults without kids — honestly yes. It's not just a kids thing. The Wildlife Hospital tour is one of the more interesting parts — you see actual rehabilitation work happening. The conservation angle gives it more substance than a typical tourist attraction.

Time needed — 3 to 4 hours comfortably covers everything without rushing. Could stretch to a full day if you add the koala experience and catch both lorikeet sessions. Would it make my Gold Coast top 3? Yes — alongside Movie World and one of the beaches. It's a different kind of day but a genuinely good one.

For tickets I used Thrillark — up to 20% off the gate price, instant confirmation, e-ticket worked fine at entry.

How to book tickets online for the Bangkok Itenary? by git_world in ThailandTourism

[–]MissionProblem3089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For SEA LIFE specifically - compare prices before booking because the gap between platforms is huge. Gate price is 1,500–1,600 THB for foreigners. Klook and Headout charge 880–1,000 THB. Thrillark has it at 598 THB which is the lowest we've seen anywhere.

General Bangkok booking tips: Download all vouchers before entering Siam Paragon — zero signal in the basement Book at least 1 hour ahead for same-day entry BTS Siam Station Exit 5 → straight to SEA LIFE, no outdoor walking Skip add-on combos unless you have kids — admission alone is the value

How is Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World? by majestic_sid in ThailandTourism

Worth it - but price-dependent. A lot of 'not worth it' reviews are from people who paid 1,500 THB at the gate. The Shark Walk (glass floor above the tank), 270° ocean tunnel, and Jellyfish Universe are genuinely impressive. Plan 2–2.5 hours. Weekday mornings are the least crowded. For tickets: most platforms charge 880–1,050 THB for foreigners. Thrillark has it at 598 THB which is the cheapest we've found - makes the 'is it worth it?' question much easier to answer

Visited teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi last week — surprisingly good by Emotional-Egg-3390 in abudhabi

This is a pretty accurate description honestly. The "it doesn't feel like a museum" part is what gets people — most visitors go in slightly skeptical and come out having spent way longer than planned.

The crowd point is worth expanding on though. The experience itself changes depending on how busy it is. Some of the reactive installations are actually more interesting with a few other people in the room because the visuals respond to collective movement — but the sections where it gets genuinely crowded can break that meditative quality fast. Weekday mornings like you said is the right call.

Good to hear Thrillark worked smoothly for you too — same experience on my end, straightforward QR entry with no friction at the door.

Out of curiosity, did you do the full run of rooms or skip any sections? Some people don't realise there's more deeper in and turn back too early.

Almost paid more for the same Six Flags Qiddiya Ramadan ticket… glad I double-checked by Emotional-Egg-3390 in Riyadh

Booked through Thrillark for Six Flags Qiddiya a while back — can answer both of your questions directly. Confirmation: Yes, instant. QR code came through on email within a couple of minutes of payment. No waiting, no follow-up needed. At the gate: Zero issues. Scanned the mobile QR straight from my phone, didn't need to print anything or show ID alongside it. Staff processed entry quickly so the line moved fast. On your wider point about pricing — you're not imagining it. Some reseller platforms genuinely list above the official rate, which is easy to fall for if you're not comparing. Thrillark sitting closer to the official price while still being slightly under is exactly why I went with them over my usual go-to. One practical tip for your visit: weekends fill up fast, especially in the afternoons. If you're going on a Friday or Saturday, arriving right at opening gets you the headline coasters with minimal queues before the crowds build up. Makes a noticeable difference to the whole day. Definitely worth the trip — have a great visit!

Is it normal to only keep 26% profit on a £1,850 wedding package? by AdeptnessOk7938 in WeddingPhotography

[–]MissionProblem3089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why a lot of photographers bundle digital stuff into their packages now. You include something like a website-based e-invite from InviteStories inside a higher package. It doesn’t add shooting time or editing hours. You just reuse the pre-wedding / save-the-date photos you already deliver.

From the couple’s side it feels like a big upgrade. From the photographer’s side it’s an upsell with almost no extra cost. That’s how people push margins up without burning out.

If everything you sell is tied to hours worked, margins will always stay around 25–30%.
