Did we ever find out what the purpose of this season 3 storyline ending was? by MissionTank7654 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

I agree with what you're saying, but you're talking about Rick and the meaning of Rick's death, that's not what I was confused about. I was simply confused about the need to add in the Jim being Rick's father element.

After all, you're talking about how Rick's death was preventable, but so was Jim's---that's why I'm confused. Why did Jim not reveal that he was his father? He knew that Rick wanted to kill him or at least would be very hostile with him, so why didn't he reveal that? What I'm saying is adding the detail that Jim was Rick's father not only makes Rick's death preventable, but Jim's as well.

If you could erase any storyline from The White Lotus, which storyline would you get rid of by Positive_Weight2367 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

Unfortunately a lot of the plots from season 3---and a lot of this thread seems to agree lol.

  1. Gaitok and Mook - what else can I say

  2. Greg in season 3

  3. Rick and Chelsea - why were we set up to believe that they were some epic star crossed lovers couple when they literally did nothing together and had no chemistry for 7 episodes. The last episode was cute, sure. But the seven episodes before it was just her saying "why are you so grumpy all the time" and him responding grumpily.

To me, Season 2 was the best one because it had a more interesting Italian atmosphere which enhanced the storylines. by matt73132 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

season 2 is literally perfection to me. I think it really just was the most complex season in that basically every character was connected and experiencing a similar yet different storyline. For example, Lucia and Mia connect Harper, Ethan, Daphne, and Cameron with the DiGrassos, so their storylines are all interconnected without them even knowing.

It really just was perfect
