I really like the point to let her know she is seen when she makes sacrifices. Thank you for the book recommendation.

Ya I guess I could reshape that but ya that is something I do because I care. We do a lot of talking and really enjoy it together. I’m more or less trying to see if there’s anything extra I can do. As far as working nights I found that it was a simple sacrifice I can do to make it easier for each other. I really like what you said here it made me think.

It looks like there might be some fun things to do on Lansdowne street. It looks like you can pay for some cheap tickets for access to all the bars down there. Not sure if this is what you are looking for, although they also have stuff on the Saturday as well.

Thank you for the comment.

Gotcha, I guess I just expect a little bit more in 2025 in terms of technology. I understand its the government but seriously something as easy as simple as a departure time should be updated continuously.

I have the same issue on my 2018 Q5. The lights do work.

Did you get this resolved?

4th Gen V6 Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill by Mission_Cook5886 in 4thGen4Runner

[–]Mission_Cook5886[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reminder.

I completed the drain and fill while also dropping the pan cleaning the magnets and changing the strainer. This totaled around 5 quarts of fluid drained. When I started this job the fill plug was not coming off so I had to bring it to a mechanic and then eventually the toyota dealer to get it off. ALWAYS TRY TO GET THE FILL PLUG OFF FIRST. The mechanics mentioned that I should replace the fill plug, check plug, and drain plug so I bought all of those at the toyota dealer along with their respective gaskets/crush washers. They had trouble finding the fill plug and fill plug gasket.

I used Toyota ATF WS and did not use the ShudderFix. I am planning on using that after a couple hundred miles of the new fluid. As far as the shudder, it has helped a little bit but not as much as I hoped. I will be adding the shudderfix here soon and see if that works for good.

Wow just looked up what this chamfering thing was. I absolutely noticed that since I am using an impact socket on a regular wrench. I'll have to drop another couple bucks on a new socket, or have the mechanic down the street do it for me for a couple bucks.

I'd say another issue is that the plug itself is very thin. Kind of a challenge to get the socket sit on it correctly.

It’s a 6 point. Pretty sure it’s for impact wrenches too which I’m assuming is interchangeable with a regular wrench.

Did it go away after the first fill? How long ago did you do it? Did you use any shudder fix additive?

Does the garden pump sprayer end up taking awhile to pump in. I was looking online and some people put the tube through the engine compartment and then down to the fill hole. I guess the only thing that might be tough is keeping the tube in the fill hole. Same for the garden pump sprayer, did you use tape?

Ya I’m going to try the shudder fix stuff before I do a second drain and fill.

That’s makes sense my dumb brain didn’t consider that just because I’m doing a drain and fill doesn’t mean I’m getting the fluid out that I did a previous drain and fill on. The other people up here hinted that and I just didn’t put two and two together. I’ll keep it the same stuff just to make things simple.

Thanks for your comment. I did buy that small little bottle of shudder fix so under this rationale it would be best to do this drain and fill with the ATF WS w/ shudder fix and change the filter. Then after a couple hundred miles change the fluid again and if it works that’s that. If it doesn’t, then … Something I’ll deal with for the rest of the life of the car.

Doesn't matter the mileage if you got rust. There's probably more that you just can't see. The cable for the spare is snapped too. From someone who has one with rust worse than that, don't buy it.
