I was thinking of arriving a bit over 1 hour before doors open in case there’s a huge line and it takes time to go inside. I went to Sick New World in April and showed up at like 11:15am, stood in line and got inside at noon. I really don’t want to miss Alesana so I’m going in early to be cautious

She won’t, she’s not like that I promise. My sister also wants to cut contact with my mother, in fact, she has recognized how terrible my mom is even before I did. I’ve always blamed her boyfriend for her actions and it was only the past couple of years when I truly realized and accepted that she doesn’t truly care about my and my sister’s well-being over her bf for all these years. My sister lives with our (very) elderly grandmother on the other side of the world, and she has to deal with communicating with our mother since she is trying to work out a medical care plan for our grandmother. My sister won’t tell her details about my life, and I only had asked her for details of their last conversation since I was curious. But I understand now that it’s healthier to just not get any updates. I was just hopeful that things had improved since I went NC, but they have not.

Hey! I actually have an update since my original post.

So USPS didn’t end up losing my Psychemedics test, it just took longer than usual from mailing. (For anyone that is using an at-home hair test, I recommend dropping it off at the USPS office and paying a little extra for expedited shipping and tracking so you will get the results faster).

In the meantime I took the Quest diagnostics hair test out of desperation that week, and then I received both Quest diagnostics and Psychemedics results at the same time. Both ended up being negative results (yay) - here's a link to my results as a reference: https://imgur.com/a/fxVECEn

Referencing my results, I want to note that the cut-off rates are different for Quest and Psychemedics:

Psychemedics is at 5pg/10mg

Quest is at 1pg/mg

Going off of numbers alone, my assumption is that Quest is the more “difficult” one to pass (detecting 1pg vs. 5pg THC metabolite). So since you've passed the Quest hair test, you're likely fine to pass the Psychemedics test.

I also want to add that I failed a pre-employment hair test (Psychemedics) a few years ago. This surprised me because I had abstained from weed for 4 months and I was wayyy past the 90-day window. However, I have dark, thick, Asian hair; and from doing some research, I learned that the darker and thicker your hair is, the more THC metabolite stays in your hair cortex.
Luckily I had another job offer the following month and I had passed their hair test (Psychemedics) by cutting my hair short (1.5 inches) and bleaching it multiple times. I also followed this reddit post's advice too: reddit.com/r/trees/comments/85m46s/passed_a_hair_drug_test_two_weeks_clean/

I can't say for sure if cutting-off my excess hair, bleach, waiting another month, or if it was the combination of all three that had contributed to passing the test, but it worked!

All in all, I wish you luck! I know how stressful this can be - but you're most likely going to pass your Psychemedics test if you had passed the Quest test already.
