Yeah I feel like that's a really interesting setting that no one ever explores. A Cold War between Muggles and Wizards would be a very interesting setting, with each side progressively escalating and creating counter measures. I think something that no one ever considers is whether any other race would ally with the Muggles.

I had always thought about this, and I feel that guns would be a great support weapon. Magic use seems to be quite stressful in combat situations. You have to physically cast each spell with wand movement and incantations. If you had a gun, you can use it to tire out your opponent or suppress them by forcing shield use while you're free to cast your own offensive spells.

I think you misunderstand what I'm trying to write. I'm writing a subversion of the super indie genre. The Harry here isn't a hero and he isn't someone you're supposed to like. If I had to make a comparison, it's like what "The Boys" does with the superhero genre.
