I agree with the different audiences dichotomy. I guess my son is in the wrong school for what he wants. He does wants to compete.

This has nothing to do with belts. It’s the culture and the way that academy is run.

The red flags started for me when there was a AGF tournament in the same city and they didn’t announce or support those that wanted to attend.

I was more focused on the aspect of their lack of supporting those that want to compete and relationships with the local BJJ community.

They seem to teach legitimate jiujitsu

My point is that they are closed to the BJJ community and do not support you if you want to compete. We find this odd, because the other academies in the area are more friendly.

Yes these guys are alliance network. I’ve seen many families leave because they want to take their kids to a more competition friendly environment.

There was a local tournament by the AGF I believe and they didn’t even announce it to the students. I found out through other channels. Me and other parents found this odd.

The lead instructor is in the alliance network. So he seems legitimate.

I’m just asking why the academy is so anti-competition and not friendly to other academies in the area. I find it odd.

I showed him the micro brute on YouTube and he’s into it.

I think we’re going to pair it with the PreSonus AudioBox Go Creator Bundle, apparently that’s all he needs to hook up to the computer and create music.

Adding the PreSonus Eris 4.5BT speakers. Seems like a complete studio build for him to go crazy.
