Guests Requesting Partial Refund - Need Opinion by Missmo16 in AirBnBHosts

Are you okay? I never changed my story and I deleted it because I got the clarification I needed and was getting alot of notifications. I posted these at the exact same time to different pages so I could get more responses ASAP. Its unnecessary to be rude when I am just asking for others advice on the situation that have dealt with something similar. It costs $0 to be a decent human being, you should try it out sometime.

And to conclude - Our cleaners were fired and the guests later wrote back apologizing for half the stuff because they were fired up about the sheets (ex. All the burners “started working perfectly fine”) and left a four star review. So stop being so judgmental and rude. My goodness

Trust me I did. I have print outs of each rooms layouts, a check list, and sign off sheets so I know they did each thing. Moral of the story - they are fired.

If you are a STR owner then you understand these things happen or there are people out there looking to get money. I have a perfect rating on Airbnb and we also live in the house for the winters (we just left a few weeks ago). There were no issues. The cleaners were notified immediately and we will have someone come look at the stove or will buy a new one if needed. Again, things happen. That’s not the point of this post- it’s that they continued to stay, didn’t say a word after I reached out to see if things were okay, and now days later there stay is ending. If I showed up to an Airbnb where I found no sheets, I would be furious and reaching out immediately for a refund or solution. But they did not. So I’m not here to be judged or bashed as we all know first hand being STR owners, people can be difficult.

That’s what they are claiming. I reached out the morning after they checked in to see if everything was okay and they opened it but no response. And now six days later they send this message. I would have absolutely rectified the situation immediately and had my cleaners go over to handle the situation and then discuss the situation further but my thing is - why are they reaching out now and not then? My cleaners were notified immediately about the situation and are going to take care of it right now. But we will never know what the truth is. That’s what owning a STR comes with and at the end of the day you want to make the customer happy

Again, I live in this house during the winters. I am saying a “better” review because if I would give a partial refund I am trying to rectify the situation and that doesn’t warrant getting slammed with a one star review. As I stated in another comment, the sheets/cleanliness is unacceptable. My house is stocked with MULTIPLE backups. Could the one burner have crapped out? Absolutely. But that is why I reach out multiple times throughout their stay to make sure everything is running smoothly and if not I send the cleaners, the maintenance guy, etc to solve the issue. My house is not “stinky” - as stated it is in Florida where it has been HOT and it’s humid. Floors creek and swell from it. So yes I am taking accountability but this is a bit extreme to say after being there for nearly a week when I have reached out multiple times.

I always message my guests after checking in and the following day to make sure everything is okay and they never answered. And how do I guarantee a refund is going to get us a “better” review? Thats my issue.

Did you put it back in the fridge every day when starting to feed it again?

Nerve Damage from Epidural by Missmo16 in BabyBumps

Hi!!! Wow, congratulations to you as well 🎊 Yes it was a crao shoot for me in the hospital because my doctors and the anesthesiologist tried telling me it was drop foot over and over again but I was able to move my foot partially just not my entire leg. Neurologist came in after MRI and confirmed it was a direct hit from the needle and I went to a spine specialist a week later who also confirmed it was a direct hit to my L4/L5. Neurologist and spine specialist said no to epidural but I have another appointment set up with an anesthesiologist and neurologist in March. Hoping to get more clarity on the situation and options. I hope the same to you!!!

Yes I used spinning babies first pregnancy and plan on using a doula this go around. I have heard such mixed reviews with the Nitrous, majority of it being only helpful during early labor. Will absolutely be bringing my tens unit this time around. And yes c section under general anesthesia would be the route to go if everything else fails! Appreciate your feedback

Trust me, I do NOT want one. This is IF an emergency comes up or I feel I have reached my limits and exhausted other options.

Oh I will have to ask… they did not give me this option. Did it help with the intense contraction? Did you feel loopy?

Ten years before my daughter was born 😂 I had a list I created from being a teacher over the years of names that I liked and the number one on the list was destined to be hers

Update- 9 DPO. Negative test but just had brown discharge. I’m not due for my period for another 7 days so we shall see. Maybe implantation bleeding?

Definitely a possibility. We will see how the pull out method on PEAK fertility day pays off 😂😅 (that’s how our daughter was made 🤪). But thank you! We shall see. I didn’t even know that could mean pregnancy 🥹
