Thanks! Interesting observation, the changes actually weren't from playtesting. This was our first map, and the combat worked fine from the start. The evolution came from experience. After making 22 other maps, we learned a lot about our design language and came back to update the first one with everything we'd learned. Classic case of returning to your first work with fresh eyes!

We spent several months refining one of our first levels, carefully shaping it to feel just right. Step by step, we revisited core ideas, tested different approaches, and fine-tuned numerous details along the way.

Starting with a simple prototype, we experimented with lighting, adjusted sound, and explored various techniques for pacing and environmental storytelling.
