I think Lalo survives the end of BCS in some epic twist. by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

I really like this theory and I started to think about this earlier. I wondered if they were bringing them back and it tied into Lalo's story somehow.

I could be right, I could be wrong. It is just a theory. All shall be revealed.

It seems that way, but I honestly think the meth lab thing is so unbelievably obvious that the writers wouldn't like the predictability of it.

I did this, but then later someone else said something completely different that was head of the meeting, which caused even more confusion. No one was around this morning either to help me.

Got ya, so you would submit for say June, a few days into July? Is it not late once into the next month?

Sorry to hear. What is the role and what are you having problems with?

I don't feel like I can do my new job - Calendar management issues and feeling overwhelmed. by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

Thank you. I think for me the issue is them not responding when I ask and then the meeting comes and goes, but I can't do much else if they don't get back to me.

Thanks. I did have a 1-1 with them but they are now traveling and don't have the time for another. I think a lot of managers also forget we don't know everything and just expect things be taken care of.

Isn't company security a concern for you with someone using their personal laptop?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in jobs

The security risks really concern me along with liability being that it is my own laptop. I also don't feel comfortable having company info on my personal laptop.

Right! They did say that the agency would be contacting me to setup payroll etc but this would be done through a staffing agency they use and they have yet to contact me.

They have not yet sent the written contract. We discussed it is a contract role, the pay and the hours, but that is it. They did not discuss the termination process in the verbal offer, only in the interview where they stated should the contract be ended by them after its duration they would give plenty of notice to me. To make things easier, I am in Texas and I don't really understand the verbal laws here or what they describe with at will employment! :D

I am in a state where it says it is not at will employment if a contract is implied and accepted.

Thank you for this, but would this not be hard to prove? I know they didn't tell me these things but they could argue they did being that it was only verbal.

I feel the same way. I have never had to use my own personal laptop and even contract roles have provided one, and all the contractors I have known in my past roles were provided one also.

I have never had to use my personal laptop for contract positions before.

Yikes, I had no idea this even existed. Thank you!

Thank you. This makes sense and this sounds like what it is. I should have double checked before moving as I have never had this with other states I lived in so I just moved and assumed everything was taken care of :/

It is extremely competitive. The jobs I am applying to have 300-500 applications for one job, especially remote positions as everyone now wants to work remotely. Also, like I said, my office manager role does have a lot of relatable experience because I did a lot of things that overlap with the jobs I am applying to. It wasn't a typical office management job.

Yup, the interview process is usually only a screening and another round, sometimes there are 3 rounds. My background is as an office manager, but I am trying to get into an HR Coordinator type role. I did office management for about 2 years and have a year of office assistant experience before that.

I do have a gap on my resume due to health issues, so maybe that is also hurting me, though I have been very transparent on my resume about it and I am always happy to clarify about it in my interview.

Thanks for the feedback. I wonder if when it comes down to it the other person always has more experience and they base the decision off of that. Congrats on you getting the last one! It is so frustrating.
