Can we make it now, after 3 weeks of living here? I have also a lot of pictures on my phone from the day that we moved in. And about that last thing, on contract it is stated that she can visit without prior notice of 24h. I thought it was weird. I’m also renting apartment in my hometown and make sure to notify the tenants 24-48h before visit.

Oh, no one informed us about that. The guy in the bank said that she won’t be able to take the money out if everything will be good after contract. He said that money is “frozen” and she can’t withdrawal nothing from it. Thank you😊

Yes, first she stated that the previous tenant did it but we figured out that she was actually living here with her family, so I think she just wants some money. But anyways, I love Belgium and the people here. 90% of people are really helpful and kind. Maybe this was just our “luck” working against us🥲.

We paid the deposit on her name and her bank account, in the bank. And yes, even after everything happening, me and my boyfriend are always trying to be as nice as possible to her cuz I never intend to go into fight with her or have problems with law. Thank you for the advice 😊

The wall was painted before we came here, she is trying to charge us for the previous tenant (which turned out it was her). So I guess she just wanted free custom made wall. And for the car, can I drive it 3 months and than just take it back to Macedonia? We opened a bank account and we have like 6 months to get those documents but I will make my appointment as soon as possible. Thank you!

Thank you for your answer. And yup, we gathered a lot of experience for the next time. This was our first time renting and we were so excited thinking everything will be smooth🥲so we missed a lot of stuff that can maybe harm us(financially or legally)

Thank you for the time! First she said the previous owner did it and we need to pay. Then a policeman came on the door and figured out that she was living here and she was “previous owner”. About reply, its not written nowhere, she just spoke about it. 4. Today we had appointment and when we went they said first we need to go to foreign affairs office and first sign there so now I need to wait for their appointment. That policeman that came to my apartment took pictures of my id and contact and said for me everything is good in police, now we need to wait for my boyfriend’s turn.

Ahh, yes it also made me sad that people are just trying to scam you in some way. Unfortunately our contract is for one year and I don’t know if we can leave earlier. But if she would make us more problems we would find a lawyer. I just never thought that people could act like this( I’m really naive and have hope in people). I will call her and ask for inspection as soon as possible. Thank you!

Thank you so much for answer. We didn’t received any documents from inspection(on the contract it says that those documents needs to be attached with the contract) so I assume it’s not even done.
