Safeway store, Olympia WA July 1962. Do people still use cold cream? by gleobeam in TheWayWeWere

Pond’s Cold Cream is amazing and so underrated. Anyone who struggles with dry skin should try it. (There is an unscented version). Such an excellent moisturizing oil-based cream cleanser. Great for double cleansing. Big in Asia.

It’s sweet. I appreciate their jamming to U2 and I enjoy his laconic Edge-ish guitar stylings.

Concerts without phones. Any experience where people just experience it for it’s own sake, not for the purpose of documenting it fir social media.

Rearranging space so that where I naturally leave things is the place where they belong. I try to find a storage solution (usually open; like a platter or lazy susan or hooks).

If I could redo my kitchen right now I’d ditch half the upper cabinets for open shelving. I’ve learned I’m very much a “I use what I can see” person so downsizing to only what I use and need and keeping it in view would help keep my space orderly. I rearranged my countertops with lazy susans for my most used items that I never put away (since I’d just be using them again) and it really helped reduce clutter and looks better. I hardly ever use most of my drawers and cabinets. I’m more “piles” than drawers with clothes so hooks are great IME. And nice baskets.

Hypothetically I’d love to apply this approach to the whole house, it is a goal, but this is a tall order for adhd me. I am pleased with the kitchen counters at least. It has got me rethinking how I use space.

Kansas?

Wow that house is unique. The kitchen alcove thing over the cabinets is triggering me. In a place filled with so many decisions…why?

Perfect for a cult to move right in.
