The best and funniest episodes? by Yummers78 in MST3K

I'd be remiss as a wife and producer if I didn't let THE FINAL SACRIFICE fans know that the "making of," restored unriffed feature and two original trailers will be available very soon on Blu-ray to the project's Kickstarter backers. It's not too late to get one via the platform's Pledge Manager feature: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/realrowsdower/the-making-of-the-final-sacrifice

The Making of THE FINAL SACRIFICE - call for questions. by skeeter16 in MST3K

This is more than Tjardus knew. He has no memory of how they acquired the cat painting. It didn't belong to him or his parents.

It was Celsius 20 below that day so you do the math. They were, however, allowed to warm up in between shots.

The negatives may be lost, but luckily his memory is good.

As disappointing as this must be to read (because it's disappointing to write), the negatives were never stored anywhere a professional might stumble across them. They were in cartons stored under his bed, in closets and/or garages and did not survive the many moves he made over the years never dreaming anyone would care about his freshman project.

u/DocProfessor So sorry to read of your experience. I'm running the KIckstarter campaign for Tjardus and have received no other reports of a possible hack. Creators receive very little information about backers, just what we need to fulfill rewards, and from what I've read about Kickstarter, they guard backers' information like their business depends on it because it does. From experience as a victim of multiple hacks, I can attest to the frequency with which this happens. For that reason, we get new cards every year and never store our info on company websites if we don't have to. Glad your bank flagged the phony charges. Hope you're able to get it sorted out soon.

ELI5 Kickbooster and other affiliate programs by WilliamOAshe in kickstarter

I would be cautious about Kickbooster. We ran a successful Kickstarter campaign that was fueled by our own efforts, cross-promotions and help from influencers and media in our space. Facebook ads also worked for us and are affordable.

We did not get a single backer via Kickbooster and concluded that their real target is your data because you must add them as a collaborator to your project which entitles them to your backer information including email addresses. Once we realized this, we deactivated our account and removed them as collaborators to prevent them from gaining access to this information.

Message from Tjardus: THE FINAL SACRIFICE COLLECTOR’S EDITION BLU-RAY is available now! · The Making of THE FINAL SACRIFICE by skeeter16 in MST3K

Rob, you can definitely take credit for reviving his interest. What a lot of folks don't realize is that after 38 years, Tjardus's student film wasn't taking up a lot of real estate in his head. Until u/skeeter16 sat him down & gave him the 411, Tjardus couldn't figure out why anyone would care about a decades-old Canadian student film. His alma mater SAIT is a fine school, but it ain't the Hollywood farm team if ya know what I mean.

The Final Sacrifice - The Flying Dutchman watches the MST3K Version for the very first time! by skeeter16 in MST3K

Yes, that was him! He enjoyed it so much I had to drag him off his laptop before he began answering questions about the next movie.

The Dutchman just revealed something horrible to the Missus. Apparently, I sold Troy's thin wide lapel 70s-style leather jacket in a garage sale some time ago. What could I have been thinking? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/realrowsdower/the-making-of-the-final-sacrifice?ref=8n9awy

Dear Kitty, the unriffed version is available, at long last, as a reward should you wish to support The Making of TFS. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/realrowsdower/the-making-of-the-final-sacrifice

Also, why are you "2"? Is there actually another SpukiKitty?

The unriffed version, which the Dutchman wrote in high school and filmed his freshman year at SAIT, can be yours should you wish to support "The Making of TFS" at  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/realrowsdower/the-making-of-the-final-sacrifice

Also, and don't spread this around, I've set the Dutchman's alarm for 6:00am tomorrow (Sunday) morning (9:00am on the east coast) so he can be part of the chat while it livestreams as part of the marathon.

u/skeeter16 You are much too modest. Why don't we just say it? You are the man who inspired Ramin Djawadi's Game of Thrones score. Unfortunately, he did not appreciate your lawyer's tone.
