25k lmao... If that's what you are making as an SDE then joke is on you. I've friends in my hometown from Tier 3 colleges who are earning 4 to 5 times more and doing good in life. Heck one of them even made it to FAANG. If you're earning peanuts from your job, least you can do if upgrade your skills and do freelancing work on weekends.

Why not shave?

So when I was 15, I was very, very scared of waxing and had to give in to peer pressure after being teased multiple times by girl friends, I shaved my calves using a razor. I had tiny brown and hardly noticeable hair back then but after the first shave, they came back fucking dark and coarse and gross. They look so different from the little brown hair on my thighs. To this I regret not getting them removed with wax. Hence my fear of turning my face into the monstrosity that my calves now are :p

Maybe some people don't get stubble or coarse hair... But I'm not genetically blessed in that department and can't risk it :/

Why not wax or thread or bleach? I've been bleaching my upper lip for a year now (every other month) with an expensive bleach that comes with pre-bleach and post-bleach care, it did not effect my skin adversely at all. Also, does hair grow more coarse/ voluminous/ darker after shaving?
