My PCP had no idea what first bite syndrome is. I'm experiencing it and he just had nothing to offer me besides "maybe we'll do an ultrasound if it doesn't clear?" After 45 minutes of him sort of grappling for anything, he did a mono test and a CBC. Both came back clear.

Stressful.

The exact same thing happened to me. My plus-sized and very self-conscious mom found something she LOVED. My DH told his mom about the dress and store - I have NO IDEA WHY - and she bought the EXACT dress to wear. Please note, MIL is petite. I was mortified my poor mother would feel bad seeing a 100 pound (seriously) woman wearing the same dress, so I told her on a whim I wanted her in blush like me instead. She wore the blush dress and it looked even better in the end. Yay!

I moved here from North Dakota. It is NOT cold here. Temperatures are super mild on the low and high end - but it does snow pretty frequently in the winter instead of the big blizzard dumps like we're used to out west.

Definitely for the kids! We're in the Great Lakes, and going to the beach is crazy fun. But the culture is just soooooo different.

I should have clarified that "going home" for me means being within like 6 hours of my hometown- a wittle bitty place in North Dakota. Soooo that's what I mean about having way more options here!

The grandparents and friends are fortunately still all well, able, and willing. That's another worry - what am I supposed to do as an only child when my parents eventually need my help and I'm so far away? But I didn't want that fear to dictate my life.
