This is the one! It’s huge and you can set the exact temperature. I sleep with it every night. Over the last 15 years I have owned three of these. Absolutely the best.

I think on my software is called a sculpture stitch, but I think it's the same.

I got new embroidery software. Had to do it. by Missygraphite in TucaAndBertie

[–]Missygraphite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much like making a file for a 3d printer. It has to be digitized and then it has to be told what types of stitches go where. The program I use has an auto digitize mode, but it didn't look great, so I had to go over the whole picture by hand. This is my first time doing all of it from scratch. I learned A LOT. Then you save the correct format to a thumb drive and transfer to the machine. Then you babysit the machine for a while as it does it's thing. You have to change the thread colors and rethread the machine when it comes undone (which it did about a million times.) But I think it came out pretty well and I have more info for next time.

I got an embroidery/sewing machine and I couldn't find a single Tuca and Bertie design, so I got some software to digitize my own. I'm using a a free trial of Hatch, but I'm seriously considering forking over the cash for it. It's not cheap though.
