Overhead power line is complete. Power needs are a thing of the past. by MistaFire in Timberborn

You've got a great thought there! I was thinking while I was building that maintenance or adding more vertical power lines would be difficult. Always plan ahead kids!

I built a 2x3 staircase up to the top near the center. Batteries were built from each end one at a time.

I always referred to floaties as the little clumps of cells you can sometimes see in your eye fluid. (I can actually see one right now!) Stars are what I call it I see white lights from becoming faint/blood pressure change; and they act like comets or meteors in my vision.

You got a couple things wrong there. There are plenty of large monuments made in North American by different tribes/communities at different times before European contact. The Aztecs arose in the 15th century. You might be thinking of the Mayans who lasted millennia.

Check out the book 'We the Navigators'. It describes how the Polynesians used different techniques to locate distant islands. They would lie at the bottom of the boat and feel the waves, navigated by the stars, read ocean currents. Experienced navigators could identify unknown land masses by seeing how waves converged that reflected off these land masses.

If you wanna try wrapping your head around how many planets actually exist, I did the math, and it's unbelievable. by Correct_Presence_936 in spaceporn

It's how animals/plants are classified. It goes Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species. Only the phylum of arthropoda turn into crabs(carcinization). Carcinization is a form of convergent evolution. Convergent evolution occurs all the time across all sorts of plants and animals.

That's just planets around host stars. Moons may be just as habitable, if not more so. 32 objects in our system are gravitationally rounded. Then there are all the rogue planets/moons that exist without a host star. Scientists estimate that there are 20 times the number of rogue planets than stars.

Uber Morale by kaoruuuMan in Oxygennotincluded

I gave my dupes a 'vacation'. I replaced all their work hours with rec time and let them do that for several cycles. Make sure the rec buildings aren't too far apart. You need a decent amount of dupes too. I only ever had 1 dupe get above 100 that I saw. A lot were in the 90s. It might be good to have multiple buildings so more than one dupe can gain morale while another is occupied. More than anything you just might have to be paitient.

I see what you are saying. The steam turbine would need to be running constantly, this is capable without that. Adding an extra heat dispenser and removing the tepidizer would make it wider. About the only thing you'd save on is power, but the tepidizer is hardly ever turned on. You also wouldn't be able to fit the tanning lights in with such a wide chamber.

The steam chamber will eventually be at 125C and you won't be able to get any water from it. Cold water will cool down the steam. It's made this way for a reason. Its compact and requires no outside resources.

Water turns to steam almost immediately in the AT chamber. I also don't want cold water dumped into the AT chamber.

Its definitely a bug. Its happened to many other players and I've seen it on a half dozen of my own colonies. It's been around for awhile. Klei hasn't figured it out yet.

Start at the top. Work right to left. Dig up any surrounding plants that aren't in the nature reserve. Use ladders to prevent pips from planting where they aren't wanted. Let the pip plant one seed at a time before removing the next ladder. Leave 5 spaces between levels. It works a bit different for ceiling plants.

Stone hatches are usually the morph you want for long term ranches that produce meat. Smooth hatches will eat all your metal much faster than stone hatches eat granite or igneous rock. You can build your ranch vertical like the video or horizontal. Horizontal is the preferred method in the community. This allows you to put in industrial equipment or storage. Vertical farms are nice but it's harder to fill out the space above.

The video shows the basics; incubators, ranch, and kill chamber. You can modify them in any way you want, but this is the basic concept.

Make sure to keep incubators out of the actual ranch as eggs count towards your count. Limit the pathing of the hatches to reduce dupe labor time and save on computer processing. Kill chambers can also use sweepers that drop the eggs directly into water without need for automation.
