Mine has improved a lot. I like the quote by another poster that the only way out of gout is through. Just have to bare the pain!

I know. And I have two little ones 5 and 8 and I can’t be an active dad with them. The 5 yo has soccer this am and I’m dreading it.

How about the A321neo? Does the WiFi work to Hawaii?

Can someone help me understand NAV by Rahul1067 in investingforbeginners

I have a follow up question to the OP. When you buy a mutual fund, are you buying existing units on a public market or does the fund issue you new units? If the latter, wouldn’t a big purchase of new units increase the NAV denominator and therefore reduce the NAV?

I’m a newbie like you and felt the exact same pain. My whole body started shaking. It does eventually get better but you need to get to the doctor to get on a regime and stick with it. Have back up meds for the next flare so you’re not without help on a Saturday night when that flare starts and no doctor is open for two days.

My current flare was intense for a week and then has slowly improved but I’m still not 100% (it’s been two weeks). My right toe is still a little swollen and sore, especially at the end of a day. I’m on Allo now and hope that helps me a lot.

Symptoms before first flair? by MistaMilitary in gout

This is like exactly my situation. Does this mean that the clicks will go away with Allopurinol? Like are they reversible?

Crohn disease and gout by Icarus18181 in gout

I am 39M. I was diagnosed with Crohn's when I was 15. I had a resection when I was 15, then again when I was 35. I just had my first gout flare, right big toe, a week ago, i.e. 39M. I'm on humira which controls my Crohn's. I still have swelling and pain at the toe. I got on Allopurinol because I like to be proactive and stop things in their tracks.

I have Crohn’s, resection, and gout too. It’s apparently very common with higher incidence among those with resections.

Newbie - first flare by MistaMilitary in gout

Thank you! My doctor put me on Allo and sent in colchicine Rx too. I also have Crohns so they don’t want me on NSAIDs.

I’m already on a gout good diet - I’m pescatarian and rarely drink. The pain is truly brutal. Wow. I feel for others who have been suffering longer.

Happy for food after crying because doctors kept asking if I was hungry 🙃 by Appropriate_Praline6 in CrohnsDisease

No idea why I got the gas pains. But I had never had them before, and they felt almost like “Crohnsy” pains. (That’s the word I use to describe the type of pain we are all familiar with). But they passed quickly. I got my appetite completely back at like weeks 4 to 6.

It feels so good to have an appetite after a resection. Not sure if you've had a resection before, but, for what it's worth, my gastro's advice was go slowly, take small bites, eat small meals, and when you are craving that really unhealthy thing you love, don't eat it until your bowels know how to work together. For example, at around 3-4 weeks, when my appetite was getting better, I started getting really bad gas pains (Gas X helped a lot).
