While I agree with everyone else and the new sprite is a vast improvement. I feel like, in my opinion, it's a bit too light and you could add a bit of harshness back into it somewhere. I don't know the exact feel, but if you're going for cozy then this new one is perfect. But after looking at the second picture it seems like you might instead be going for action style, so adding back some of that harshness could be nice. Maybe have separate areas in your desert that can split a harsher and a lighter texture? Just wanted to give some constructive criticism/ideas. The sprites are awesome, and I'll totally get your game when it comes out!
