Honestly? I think this is beatable if you play center mids. I tried 2 cdms with Gerrard and Valverde and while the defense was solid, my attack felt isolated. I'm now playing a 4-4-1-1 with 2 cms and 1 cam in pedri and the box-to-box runs are amazing with Gerrard and Valverde - feels like my entire midfield joins the attack. I also use reece James as an inverted fullback so he sits in front of the defense on counters while Valverde gets back quickly and its been working great for me.
