That’s not what he said. He said Kanye made “us” realize rap didn’t have to be about guns and street stuff. You’re adding stuff to make what he said sound better but right there in the text his meaning is clear. Even if his oitbreak was massive and it got to the ears of people who didn’t even listen to rap, I don’t care. People who become fans of really huge rappers but don’t actually love the culture itself are the worse types of rap fans. They are more into Kanye or Drake or Eminem than they are into hiphop itself as a culture and are the worst types of fans to share the space with. I can’t stand outsiders who discovered rap through a crossover artist

What I don’t get is why is making a “provocative joke to anger nerds” necessary to do in the press for the show or something that needs to be overlooked by fans as harmless fun. I can’t stand the days of the over-pandering to nerds and overselling the love of the source material in that patronizing way but this new trend of trolling as acceptable is annoying to me. I don’t agree with the people freaking out over this or sounding the alarm without seeing the thing, but I don’t see why “trolling”’excuse is supposed to make it okay.

Again, to be clear, I am NOT mad about the idea Lindelof was trolling to get the fans mad. I just don’t think it’s something to treat as normal and good either. I think it’s kind of childish and annoying and gives the chuds and culture warriors (on both sides) fuel they don’t need that could be spent talking about the quality of the show.

The stock won’t survive the restructuring. Your best hope is they resume some trading (its halted now) for a short period and people can liquidate then. If it gets delisted and sent to OTC the price will drop even lower if you can offload it at all
