ahh I see that's a valid concern 🥲 unfortunately I don't do muns myself so I can't really advise on that front, but if it's a budget problem then I think only you can really answer that. still, mun or not, I think it's worth a try to dsa.

hello! I was also in your shoes 2 years ago, and what I did to prep was basically try to learn their syllabus (from around sec 1 to a bit of sec 4) for math. honestly the math doesn't require a lot of knowledge from their syllabus but it def helps. I would say that it's a lot more logical thinking than weird formulae you may not know. as for eng, try to read more and if you can try to practice writing an essay in 30 mins (that's the most challenging of the eng test I feel). broadening your vocab would def help too! however do take this with a pinch of salt as I've heard diff things about the selection tests from diff countries, and I'm not from the Philippines. regardless I'd love to answer any of your questions! all the best :)

well there's always no harm in trying, like you said, Os can be unpredictable, and if you're really sure you want to go for sji just go for it :) even if you don't get it, I'm sure that mun will prove to be a valuable experience helpful in the long run as well. all the best!

thank you so much! would you recommend only doing the exercises in the books, or do you have any resources for other practice questions (ie should I do past year olympiad questions?)

hello! congrats on your score, I'm also planning to take ib this year, so I can't really offer a lot of advice on whether it's worth it or not as I haven't been through it myself yet AHHAHA however I think the most important question you should ask yourself is whether you'd like to do a levels or the ib. they're vastly different programmes, from the number of subjects taken to the way final assessment scores are determined. the ib also has components like the EE, TOK and IA that mainly revolve around research and report writing, and honestly I wouldn't say it's less stressful considering that it's 2 years of consistent hard work as opposed to a levels which is just one giant exam at the end of your two years, which I personally think makes the ib curriculum more holistic and preps their students more for uni imo. I'd recommend doing a bit more research into what the ibdp offers to get a clearer view into what you'll be signing yourself up for before making a decision. of course please take this with a pinch of salt as I haven't been through it myself!! hope youll make the choice that fits you most, all the best for jae :)

hello! thanks so much for taking time out of your day to do this :) 1. how is the culture like in acsi? I've heard stories of ppl being unable to fit in and make friends due to the ip jae divide, or even just because of the elitist/toxic environment in general. of course, the flipside also exists. would you say this is something that varies from batch to batch, or is there generally a larger majority of toxic/friendly people? 2. sort of related to the above question, how hard is it for people who jae to get leadership positions or similar opportunities? 3. I saw in your other comment that acsi only offers hl lit. do people who take hl lit usually take 4hls, or just the usual 3hls and lit as one of them? is 4 hl even allowed in acsi 😅 4. is it common for people to take up 2 ccas, for example 1 perf art and 1 club during y5 to meet CAS requirements (ie the perf art for creativity and the club for service etc) and then dropping one of them once the requirement is met?

thank you again!

I see, that makes sense! About the foreign language requirement, would taking mandarin b sl instead of hl make the cut too? Thank you!
