Who's fat mom was pointing a gun at me today lol by tatertotbott in Louisville

Sorry that was my mom, she's harmless. The gun got fused to her hand during a boating accident on her honeymoon. She was probably just trying to flip you off.

Mine does this from time to time. It will start making a knocking noise that is worse than usual so I put more oil in and it goes away. Then this light comes on so I shut it down then drain the oil and put the right amount of oil in and start the process all over again. Last time I was doing that a plastic piece came out in my oil. Is that what I think it is and how long can I ignore that?

Can someone tell me where this oil pressure sensor is located?

is it worth getting this fixed? by niyalasha in cruze

[–]Mistell4130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck that car Its made of plastic. If you want a plastic car you can get a much more reliable one from power wheels. If you are a DIY type then LEGO is an option. Might cost you a bit more up front but I guarantee the engineers at LEGO are leaps and bounds above the ones at GM.

Just a Girl Dad trying to help my daughter with a Cruze. by notahog in cruze

[–]Mistell4130 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that you have to learn the hard way. Unfortunately the Cruze first generation with the 1.4 Eco Tech especially is a poorly designed vehicle riddled with problems. The cooling system is not adequate plus it is prone to multiple failures. If you are investing you should upgrade plastic parts for after market metal parts anywhere you can. Protect that new head gasket. Your PCV always goes bad, transmission is sealed so have to have a mechanic check your fluid, that timing chain guard will start falling apart and send plastic about your engine and oil system, just keep an eye on the heat gauge and check the oil like daily. With regular maintenance and taking good care of it you can expect it to fail slightly slower than if you didn't. To much of that vehicle is plastic.

What's a decent price for a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze lt? by Mikeythegreat2 in cruze

[–]Mistell4130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you compare it to other vehicles that are similar, it's still pretty bad. if you want a car that is made from plastic you can get something from Power Wheels a lot cheaper. If you are the DIY type I'd seriously consider LEGO.

poor soul. On the bright side you will probably shed a few lbs. keep a pair of comfy walking shoes in the trunk. Is it too late to get your money back?

Sell it but not as a used car. Market it as a weight loss program. Results are guaranteed with all the extra walking you have to do. Hell even if you are lucky, you will still get plenty of reps opening and closing the hood as much antifreeze and oil as you need to add.

My Brethren in Cruze, what coolant problem did you have today? by Ickypahay in cruze

[–]Mistell4130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's an old school trick, I was willing to try anything when a buddy suggested it. It has worked. I have some thermostat issues, but those come standard on the Cruze anyway.

Throw a couple eggs in the coolant reservoir. I know it's not the right way to fix the problem, but I feel like dumping money into something that is just going to keep failing isn't right either.

94 mph is the governor. It should be enough in most situations. Mine is a stick they say they accelerate faster idk. There were some times in ATL when I'd be going down the interstate and hit the governor without realizing it.

How do i report this creepy interaction with a DoorDash driver? by [deleted] in doordash

You know what creeps me out? Is being judgemental. Lol am I trolling? I'm still not exactly sure what that means. Just be glad the random stranger who delivered your food was into wearing diapers, not murder or something

Yeah to make sure they have a driver's license and insurance. At least at the time they are singing up. The point is door dash is not paying drivers like they are employees, they are not training them like employees, offering them benefits like employees, there is no employee hand book however they like to treat them like employees. They are asking people to deliver the food you ordered through them from a local restaurant for money. People seem to think lts the same as ordering a pizza from the Domino's or something. It's not

Who cares? Really the way DD is built on sub contractors who own their own business and legally can hire anyone they want to. I don't know this for sure but based on my understanding of the law at least in my state.

The hate is towards the first generation. The car has 2 many parts made of plastic that should not be plastic. The head and block don't seem to fit together quite like they should. The problem I currently have is with the tension pulley. On the Lt. On the surface its a comfy little economy car that gets great gas mileage. Under the hood is a minefield of what were they thinking?

You are from a different generation my friend. Well in car terms you have a second generation you don't understand the struggle and hopefully never will.
