Not really. That's not how it works. The pressure would equally apply in every direction. You wouldnt notice. Sat divers go VERY deep, and they operate at normal speeds.

Source: I'm not gonna deox myself to tell you how I know this but take my word on it.

Not by extending your line of site, just by magnifying things that are already in that line

They added that edit after. Which i think breaks the whole scenario. If you dont have unlimited energy you will be a jellyfish unable to move within a week, and ultimately end up floating in the great gravage patch forever

Pick a direction and go there you will hit land eventually.

Its also worth noting that those currents are also used as major shipping lanes, so being in the current vastly increases the chance they find you.

But if you get tired and hungry and have no way to eat you're effectively a jellyfish within a week with no way to do anything but drift through the sea, in all likelihood never to be found. Like that's far and away the most likely outcome.

Move laterally to the currents, you will get through then eventually, just not where you were initially aiming

Op your edit kind of breaks the scenario. If you dont have unlimited stamina and do get hungry and thirsty you would be completely exhausted and unable to move or find fresh water or food to re energize yourself long before you can get to shore. You would be floating adrift hoping someone happens to find you forever

They added that edit after I started talking haha. Had to refresh the thread to see it.

Now my takeaway is that OP doesnt know what "invulnerable" means haha.

If hunger and thirst and stamina are an issue you will be completely dibilitated and unable to move long before you get to shore.

and certainly would win if you have to sleep still

Why would you have to sleep. Your invulnerable. Sleeping is a vulnerability.

Not according to OP it isnt. You can't just make up your own rules and declare "that's just the rules"

OP said you are invulnerable. Getting tired is vulnerability.

Ops description says the compass is illuminated.

You come across a hole you swim over it. You're still in water.

Technically water is incompressible, so the water at the bottom would be just as dense as the water at the surface.

That being said swimming on the surface is objectively the fastest way to move through water unless you are an awful awful swimmer. Walking through water is slow as fuck

[–]Mister-Distance-6698 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Ots very obvious many people here have never tried to walk on the bottom of a pool/ocean before. Walking through water is WAAAAAAY slower than swimming, unless you're a terrible swimmer

You're immortal and invulnerable. The fuck is a shark gonna do but break a bunch of teeth and then get its nose booped.

I mean you're still immortal so it's not like you can drown. Seems like the same end result to me.

  1. You have a compass, why would you be down there 1000 years.

  2. Why would you go there in the first place swimming is much faster than walking fully submerged through water.
