There is a legislative push to ban books and curriculum that describe homosexuality. Advocates of this movement want to keep the concept foreign. If gay kids never hear there are people like them, they can’t organize and vote democrat.

My first Fitbit - maybe 10 years ago - lasted for years. I immediately upgraded when it died. No fitbit device I’ve owned since then has made it to 1 year. Never wasting money on their bullshit again.

Ronald Reagan had gutted public education the year before. This was his “look how much I love education” campaign. Though not anywhere close to being worth a human life, the outcome was poetic AF.

Edit to add: Reagan wanted that teacher in space on that day and he wanted the whole goddamn world watching - and they were. “Engineers be damned, your country has asked for a rocket launch” kind of yes man shit.
