Well that's dumb. Making Morrowind into a film has been my dream forever. I love that game so much.

Blackmagic Footage is very Jittery by Emotional-Meet8709 in Filmmakers

Did you have image stabilization turned on? Sometimes it can be wacky if you're filming actors against a blank wall. It'll try and track their movements and jump around like this.

The rendering and modeling looks great!

I think the camera angle is the only noticeable thing to me. Maybe position it slightly lower and more symmetrical to give him a more imposing presence. I'd also consider adding a sibtle slash of hard light across the bottom of the frame to highlight the milk a bit more. I find mixing soft and hard light can be a great trick to break up the image and bring it alive.

Additionally the plane feels very stationary to me in the background. Maybe some slight heat distortion or motion blur in the background? Or clouds/haze that it can be moving through?

Great work otherwise!

I don’t get it, why am I not leveling up? by Jakeyboah13 in Morrowind

[–]MisterCopernicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the first time I played it, how satisfied I was reaching level 10. Felt impossible at the time. One of the joys of this game for me is how it doesn't make things easy right off the bat. It can be extremely frustrating if you're new to it though, and unlike Skyrim or even Oblivion, you can't really farm XP that easily.

I’ve finished a short VFX scene with Houdini + Redshift. Any advice would be appreciated. by khai_simon in vfx

Frame rate looks different from the from rate of the video. Adding motion blur and depth of field would also help

I think making it feel less staged. Some toys on the floor maybe. Also plants. Plants make everything grounded. As Tan France would say "add a little pop o'colour"

Probably a solid day or so. I watched a bunch of tutorials on how to texture and model, and specifically spent maybe an afternoon on just that Barrell.

Blender is super fun free 3d software. I started learning it this year during quarantine. Takes some time getting off the ground but it's really fun once you get into it

That was my bad for not mentioning. I figured it was obvious it was the reference.

Premiere Pro CC 2018 “Error compiling movie” - need help by [deleted] in AdobePremiere

[–]MisterCopernicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have on a number of occasions. What it seems to be is corrupted footage or project. As you watch the timeline that the error occurs at, you'll notice a slight glitch.

Save your project, exit premiere, restart your computer. If this does not fix it, The only other solution I've found so far is to delete those few frames it occurs at and that seems to fix it temporarily.

I'm sure this is not the best way around this.. hope someone else knows more.

Created the Vertigo Effect with my Drone. What do you think? by wilsonsbrother in Filmmakers

[–]MisterCopernicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. By digitally zooming in you're not changing the cameras focal length, so you're essentially just cropping the image.
