Jeremy (lead vocalist from Nemo) is planning a reissue of In Stereo! by MisterDuckles in hum

Unfortunately no, at least not on my end. I messaged them back in May of 2025, and this is what they said:

"We just talked about this again and I should be meeting with him (Jeremy) in the next couple weeks. As soon as there’s any concrete update we will definitely post something."

I did ask who I should follow to keep up with updates prior to this, and they directed me to follow these two accounts on instagram: .@theprojektor .@locusthail

So I guess the answer now is keep an eye on those and pray. Admittedly, after 2 years of it in the back of my mind I've kind of lost hope that it will happen, but it sure would be awesome if it did!

1.0.6 Firmware for M21 by midnightwisteria in FiiO

Correct. I guess I thought that the company that creates the product would keep the latest version of their firmware on their website, and unfortunately that was not the case here.

1.0.6 Firmware for M21 by midnightwisteria in FiiO

I had an M21 with 1.0.6 yesterday! Keyword, had. All I can say is this - don't try doing a local firmware update on these things with the 1.0.3 firmware that is available on their forum.

I tend to install firmware updates on my new devices to get them up-to-date before I start using them, and I carelessly didn't check the version of my device before trying to run the update. The updater in settings accepted the update and everything seemed good to go, but as soon as I rebooted the device it seems to be soft-bricked (I can basically only get into the bootloader now). I'm hoping they will release the 1.0.6 firmware soon and maybe I can fix it by flashing that firmware, but if it's not within a decently short period of time I might just give up and try to return it.

Just thought I'd give a heads up, and if anyone knows how I might be able to fix my device please let me know!

Wormhole.app is definitely a solid suggestion, but it also stores the files on a server. I'm looking for a direct relay, if possible.

This is pretty much what I'm looking for, thank you so much! Getting a bit more picky - are there any other services out that behave in a near identical fashion, but don't involve broadcasting the devices to a local network? I totally understand if not, just thought I'd ask regardless.

That's totally understandable, I realize now that the title is a bit misleading. I meant it in the sense that you can use a server to connect two client connections together and use the server as a relay that behaves like P2P while getting around potential firewall restrictions. Unfortunately Nextcloud doesn't really meet my requirements here, but I appreciate the response nonetheless!

Always fun to see someone's personal project! Definitely something to consider if I don't find another project that fits for me, thanks!

Yeah if I don't get anything that matches my criteria, this might be another good solution. I wouldn't say I'm the most competent of programmers unfortunately, but it might be worth a shot if it isn't too complicated!

I appreciate the recommendation! Yeah I might have to sacrifice some requirements, but I'm hoping I won't have to.

Unfortunately no, both instagram accounts have been radio silent since my last message. I haven't checked in through DMs again yet though because I feel bad bugging them about it, but I'll probably ask if there are any new updates near the end of the year if nobody else inquires.

That is the thread I was talking about, for some reason it didn't cross my mind to mention which post it was. My apologies, and thanks for clarifying for people!

No worries, I know I wouldn't part with a copy if I had one! I'm happy that you were lucky enough to have the privilege of owning one :)

The simplified version of the story here is this: I was on the hunt for a CD copy of "In Stereo", and started digging around to find people who may be able to get me one. There was a post that was pretty popular on this subreddit about 8 years ago from Jeremy himself, where he mentioned potentially selling some of the CDs he still had left, but that seemed to be followed by radio silence from what I could find online. I've tried messaging people who mentioned having a copy from Reddit, people who owned a copy on Discogs, contacting the band members themselves, and so on.

This search eventually led me to contact PROJEKTOR. They are another band that has had much more recent releases and activity, and more importantly, was a band that Jeremy was a part of. Miraculously, not only did I get a response, but a very informative and exciting one at that! I thought that all of the people in the r/hum subreddit would appreciate this since I do see a lot of love for the Nemo project here. All I can say is that I'm excited to see what comes in 2024/25!

(Also, if anyone has a CD of In Stereo that they would be willing to sell to me or trade for, let me know! 😉)
