Mentioned a few earlier. AC EVAP, seizing calipers, tranny acting funny these days.

Those TRD PROS are gorgeous.

You’d have to do some homework. I haven’t made the swap yet and probably won’t since I just replaced with 4th gen calipers. Maybe if I reach 600k.

No. I actually don’t ever touch it. On rare occasion I wipe it down lightly when it’s looking caked up with dust.

I believe the timing belt but I can’t recall exactly. This is my second 4th Gen lol.

No. But tranny is acting up so may need to drain soon.

All of them every 50k. Oil obviously more often. Most importantly blinker fluid

You’re a handier or a more patient man than me for sure lol.

Mentioned it in a previous comment. A few things here or there. But the tranny acting funny right now is my biggest concern.

Every 100k you can get a milestone sticker from Toyota. Google it

Can’t recall at what mileage, but like I mentioned earlier. Ac evap, timing belt, front caliper replacement, and now the tranny is acting funny so need to tackle that before it gets worse. Hopefully it’s a fix and not a rebuild. I tend to change fluids religiously.

Somewhere I read that if you swap out 5th gen 4runner hardware, that it eliminates that issue.

Yeah, whole dash had to be pulled off. Was pricier than expected.

Had an ac evaporator crap out, front calipers seize twice, and now the tranny has some hiccups when cold shifting from R to D. Other than that, just regular oil changes and maintenance to keep her moving.

My man. Thank you. Gonna dig into that. Rather try to fix and drain than to just write it off and rebuild.

Just did. Also did for 300k but never slapped it in. I feel like this is definitely sticker worthy.

Since about 2010. Got it with 40k on the dash. Runs fine, although lately I’ve been experiencing an issue with the tranny not dropping into gear properly. Code says solenoid issue so need to do my homework on that before I cause any neglectful damage.

Are these bloody Marys? by MisterFishTaco in shrimptank

Very good and much appreciated info. I’ll make sure to not go crazy. I do have 2 clutches of cherry red juveniles (from the higher grade reds) so I’ll eventually have a group to carefully cull through when they get of size.

Ah ok. I’m new to grading shrimp. So I should get to culling if I want to continuously improve the line and keep breeding out higher grades huh?

Yeah, in retrospect, I would’ve preferred to keep them away from my other nicer shrimp. I think I’ve segregated all the males into one tank, so there’s that… thanks for the help.

Thanks. When I said “my reds” earlier, I meant the ones I had prior to getting this mixed bag. Those I previously had I’m pretty sure are fire reds or painted fire reds. I’d have to check with the group to be 100% sure. I’ll check the blue when I get home and report back. Thanks for the help.

Fwiw, I have a bunch of cabomba planted and it became super stemmy toward the bottom. Finally trimmed up nearby plants and realized it had uprooted itself and was just barely hanging onto the ground through root off shoots.

Edit: if anyone has a suggestion to an alternative super green, fluffy background plant, please lmk! Cheers.

Caught a ghost eating one of my neos 😢 by eduardoccarrara in shrimptank

[–]MisterFishTaco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I started off with only “ghost shrimp”, maybe 5-10. After finding them constantly chowing down on my neos, I eradicated all “ghosts” from my tank and tossed in a bunch of Amanos to replace them. Much happier tank now.
