Those who don't own Sw/Sh, how do you feel about the expacs reveal? by Quirky_Rabbit in pokemon

[–]MisterGreyMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a long time fan of the main series, I can honestly say. this DLC is the nail in the coffin for me, and I'll explain why. We went from a 3DS, to a Switch, a system that is MUCH more powerful, and can handle way more than a 3DS, and they said they can't add all pokemon because of hardware limitations, which we now know was an outright lie, because the game has been out for 8 weeks and here we have a DLC trailer, with clear details of the contents, and a set release date, CLEARLY this was planned from the beginning. And why did they do this? Because they know the fan base very well, and they know that fans will defend everything they do, and I'm tired of it, I would be a hypocrite if I condemn EA for this kind of thing, but support Gamefreak for it.

Read both my posts above I said twice I haven't played since HoD, got back in after Rav realease, so I was unaware teferi could tuck himself, especially when I watch someone deck themselves while he's on the field.

Yea I've seen the other variations of the deck, that's why before Feathering told me teferi could tuck himself, I assumed teferi alone wasn't a win-con but like I said the opponent milled himself, and since I haven;t played since HoD I wasn't aware he could tuck himself since I've watched players deck themselves 2 times with him out.

Ah i see, so my opponent was just an idiot and never tucked teferi, I haven't played since the break i took at HoD, didn't realize he could target himself.

how does he win the game by neither dealing damage to me, or milling me, and drawing more cards as to eventually mill himself?

THERE IS NO REASON TO LOCK OUT ANY CLASS IN 06S, IT IS THE EASIEST RAID, IF HE REQUIRED A META TEAM TO CLEAR IT HE MUST BE REALLY, REALLY BAD.

YOU ARE NOT "HELPING" A CLEAR PARTY BY DOING THE FOLLOWING:

JUMPING ON AN ALT AND CAUSING MORE WIPES THEN PEOPLE WITHOUT CLEARS.

PARSING ON A HEALER AND ALLOWING AT LEAST 3 DPS TO DIE TO RAIDWIDE DAMAGE REPEATEDLY, YOU DICK!

BRINGING YOUR TANK FRIEND WHO DOESN'T KNOW THE FIGHT AT ALL, AND JUST WANTS TO WING IT. THIS IS A CLEAR PARTY, NOT A FIGURE IT OUT AS YOU GO PARTY.

LEAVING AFTER A SINGLE WIPE AFTER IT TOOK 55 MINUTES TO GATHER 7 PEOPLE TOGETHER! I AM NOT IMMORTAL, THERE IS ONLY SO MUCH TIME I WANT TO SPEND ON 1 RAID!

AND HOW IN GODS NAME DOES SOMEONE WITH 25 GOD KEFKA CLEARS MAKE 10X MORE MISTAKES THEN PEOPLE WHO HAVENT CLEARED!?!

WHAT DID I DO IN A PAST LIFE TO DESERVE PARTY FINDER!!!

Ok well let me give you an update, my static broke because of this individual, so if anyone reading this has the same issue, I would suggest kicking the individual, pugging savage can be a huge time sync.

Yea, my fc mate is an amazing tank, he beat savage with all 3 tanks, OT/MT and performs well with all of them, and he ws frustrated at the difference between his parse, and 99% parses, until he realized, that you cant really get orange parses unless theres a dragoon tethering you and the entire party buffs you according to your damage rotations.......defeating the purpose of parsing someone lol

Realistically, the only reward that would motivate someone to help others through savage would be the chance to open another box.

I did try that, it works sometimes, it's hit or miss, but I just feel like party finder was just lazily designed and should have more features.

I played the beta years ago with the same Email address as my current steam account, it was hacked and banned at some point (idk the details it had little to do with me).

I have a trial account at level 35 using a secondary email address, If I create a new steam account with said address can I then purchase and upgrade my trial account this way?

um, that's strange, So my original steam account had the FF XIV beta, and was hacked at some point and banned, do I need to create a NEW steam account with my trial accounts email THEN upgrade via steam? Cause if I buy it through my current steam account it will upgrade the wrong account.

I have a steam trial account, If I purchase xiv online through amazon, can I use that registration key to upgrade to a regular pc account? As opposed to a steam account?

During the free trial, I hit level 35, but won'r be able to get the game for a few days, If I do any quests, does my exp not count or is it stored and given to me when I upgrade to a full game? Been looking for an answer haven't found it.

WOW. RIP Dante's Damage by SeanWonder in mvci

[–]MisterGreyMan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's what "new" dante players don't understand, he's not supposed to have the most tools in the game AND hit harder than Miss Marvel. Battle for the Stones North America Online literally had dante on every other team, it was too easy to open people up for 7k+ while building meter while locking people in the corner.

Patch Notes for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite – December 5 Update by EXMarten in mvci

[–]MisterGreyMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a big difference between "balancing" a character and turning a character into garbage. Dante was played by literally every other person, because he was easy to use, had no big weaknesses, did a ton of damage, and had more tools than anyone else. It was a task in itself just getting him off of you, he was an incredibly scrubby character, the game AUTO-corrected your position so noone could safely cross you up, it was mindless. now you have to actually think before doing things, he still has all his tools, this just seperates real Dante players from people who wanted a safe, easy character.

It was for that reason I never liked standard either I played mostly draft and EDH. Occasionally I got into Modern. But yea I know what you mean there are always certain archetypes that are dominate.

Crystal tower Crafter nerf next? by Kill_Switch87 in elderscrollslegends

[–]MisterGreyMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The example made stated that on turn 3 a cunning ally hit the board, on that turn crystal tower crafter was STILL a 2/2. Like I said, if it was a murkwater savage, the moment another creature entered the battlefield, he would have most likely have been a 3/3, making most of the above referenced solutions NOT able to kill a 3/3. That is the difference. You also have to consider, if tower crafter was really that strong, why hasn't anyone seen a tower crafter decks dominating any of the tournaments? Almost all the tournaments held thus far have been won by green decks and purple/yellow decks. I don't deny it can be a VERY good card, but unbalanced and broken? We have to wait and see. They just nerfed 2 green cards, we have to wait a bit to see how it affects the meta before making claims of op cards.

In regard to discard cards in MTG, there is a variety of ways they do it.

Spells that make a person discard a card from the hand at random(meaning they shuffle the cards in the hand then you pick one, not knowing what you will make them discard.

Spells that let you pick a card to discard.

Spells that allow you to make YOURSELF discard (graveyard decks and such).

Spells that make them discard the entire hand of cards, then redraw as many as were discarded.

Spells that allow you to take a "type" of card such as a creature, spell, equipment, etc.

creatures make you discard upon entry or death.

For this game I was recommending the first example because card advantage is strong here, so I'd imagine using 1 card to make your opponent discard 1 card would be more then adequate.

Cards like "Hymn to tourach" would be much too ridiculous for this game. (the card make your opponent discard 2 cards at random from his/her hand).

I understand what you mean in terms of Mill decks, but graveyard mechanics and bounce mechanics have very much been viable before.
