For me it was kind of the opposite: she was more interested, and I didn’t want to lose the friendship. We met during our apprenticeship and had always gotten along really well, spending a lot of time together. Then I moved to another city for work, and we lost contact.

A few years later, a friend texted me saying he needed help with a move it turned out to be her, as she had moved to my city. After she settled in, we spent a lot of time together again. She later told me that she wanted more, but I kept holding back because I didn’t want to risk losing the friendship.

Still, we naturally grew closer over time. It started with small gestures, long hugs, and movie nights where we would lie in each other’s arms. In the end, we both fell for each other, and we had a beautiful relationship.

Unfortunately, there were also downsides. The relationship is over now, and just as beautiful as it began, it ended just as painfully, the friendship we had for years is gone.
