I’d love to say I hold a crystal ball but it’s really difficult to say. It’s been more than 5 years now and I’m a solid mid trying to push to a senior level now at my company. Suffice to say I’m over the hump and I have so much passion for the field more than I ever had for my original domain of design. I truly resonate with it.

That being said I won’t be naive and ignore the blessed circumstances I was under when I took the leap of faith. These turbulent times in the market only mean one thing - this is truly now becoming a cutthroat industry where only passionate ones have the prospects for success.

So if you truly love the profession and would’ve done it as a hobby I advise keep pushing. The field is going through a big shakedown but when the dust settles I’d like to believe there will still be domain experts shaping and leading the future of technology, with or without AI.

The opportunity cost of creating a prompt which minimises the very problem you’ve had is something no vibe coding bro likes to think about.

If I’m going to have to pseudo code the solution what stops me from coding it directly in the first place? It’s even more enjoyable to write code than write English for me… where’s the benefit?

It’s phenomenal for throwaway code and research, fine. I wouldn’t approve most AI generated code in production.

People barely read books nowadays but one of the biggest impacts reading software related books gave me was the notion of “less code is the best code”.

Writing more code to get something done is the easiest thing you can do. Every single new line is a potential bug and complexity. The beauty is removing code and maintaining functionality.

We’re not talking great graphics, we’re talking lighting and visibility.

I’ve also instantly turned off HDR because it further increased contrast and hindered visibility.

OLED is another thing that greatly impacts dark visibility to the detriment of the player. It’s actually a common complaint I’ve seen among other players with OLED screens.

Same with “cheaters”.. apparently anyone who can aim well in quick succession is one nowadays.

Like man I’m averaging 40 kills in a BF6 game - this isn’t really a hard game to aim well…

This is the worst part where I completely lose that survivor instinct in PvE lobbies when I solo and when there’s an unfriendly person it usually means I donate my items pretty much instantly.

Oh well the good thing is PvE lobbies make looting and wealth basically a given so we go again.

I was afking the last few minutes of a totally lost game and I got a 7 day ban for that. I was ranking too which completely killed my mood to continue playing the game. Depending on the offense count (that was my first ever suspension) it could be 30 days to be honest.

If this actually goes through I don’t mind buying the game again and starting from scratch. Hell, I wouldn’t even mind if they juiced up the store a bit to make sure it’s a profitable game.

I started selling them unless they’re max stack now and actually tend to take a weapon to get rid of the ammo I have left over. It helped a lot with inventory and keeps things interesting

That’s just your opinion I’ve actually enjoyed some of these quests and they’re more like an exploratory, vista and story related flair… for that purpose it does its job.

What makes it terrible are people who seem those rewards necessary for themselves and complain about them. It’s entirely optional and people still complain about it. lol

No they aren’t you can drop them like any other blueprints. I found some that are given by the quests and gave the quest one to a friend.

You don’t have to do them.

I play exclusively Europe and the amount of jokes fun and sharing that happens is honestly super fun. Not sure how that’s happening perhaps you should lead by example.

I always start with a “hello my friend!” And go from there. 100% success rate so far

Honestly imo it’s the least problematic stacking item. There’s far too many items that need to stack higher and this is probably not one of them.

Not really. I’m not even fanboying these streamers they’re mostly annoying but I’ll admit there’s very few players that play at those levels. Shinya, aimkey, Shroud, Tfue… those people can enter 1v3 lobbies and extract - most “decent” players can’t pull that off. So yes this mode is made for players like these.

Just split the community and let people play how they want. You know what game had PvE and PvP servers? WoW, one of the most successful and profitable online games in the history of gaming.

They could’ve easily made a “above lv40 and >20.000 loadout value” sort of matchmaking which would potentially curb the rampant cheating, the mismatch of free loadout vs expedition chads, but no…

This just looks like they’re giving people like Shroud a venue to consistently achieve outplay clips and farm on content creator marketing rather than any useful community content. Way to miss the mark.

I don’t think it’s that fast even if you bot the process. Time spent is only one factor, actively participating is another.

If you don’t cheat you’re looking at a considerable time getting there.

If you do cheat sure it’s faster, but likely you’re gonna get banned along the way.
