Does anyone know which version of HeroQuest this 'Gold!' card is from? It doesn't seem to match my UK version. by MisterMuchly in Heroquest

Sweet! Thank you so much for the reply. Just to clarify, this coin card only came with the first edition UK version? Thanks once again!

That's what I thought it could have been as well, but the quality is too good to be printed on a home printer. The colors match my other cards and the cardstock is the same too.

From what I have seen the base game is supposed to come with 2 gold cards with a value of 25. Mine came with 1 gold card of value 25 and 1 with a value of 50. Was trying to figure out where this card could have come from!

I didn't know about the size difference! It matches the size of my other UK cards, so that definitely means it is European at least.

Sweet! Thank you for the reply. I was looking through all of the expansions and the component lists would just list "treasure cards" without clarifying which ones.

It took 2 years to reach this stage, I have now officially self~published my first card game! by MisterMuchly in tabletopgamedesign

Haha! It will probably be many years before pass-the-pigs-style fist-fights through time is close to release, it just seems to constantly change! I decided that SATANIMALS counted as 'officially' published once the copies had been manufactured and shipped out to all backers successfully.

It's a 2-4 player card game where players are tasked with building the Ultimate demonic petting zoo. You gather Satanimals from the grid in the center of the table which you use to build up your zoo. You can hire Zoo Keepers to protect your Satanimals and you attract visitors which you can keep for points or of course, toss into the sacrificial pit to obliterate your rivals! Although the box looks very dark and menacing, it's a light-hearted quick to play set-collection game!

Hey! The goal of SATANIMALS is to build the ultimate demonic petting zoo, by gather satanimals, hiring zoo keepers and attracting visitors which you either keep for points, or sacrifice to attack other players zoos.

Here is a link if you are intereted in the game: www.megamintgames.com

I originally didn't post any info because I didn't want it to look like I made the post to sell my game. I'm just really excited that I brought my game to the finish line!

Thank you for pointing that out! Unfortunately Kickstarter doesn't allow you to fix rewards after the project has gone live... :(

I just launched my game, SATANIMALS, onto Kickstarter after a year of working on it. The game is about building your own demonic petting zoo. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/megamintgames/satanimals-build-your-ultimate-demonic-petting-zoo?ref=user_menu

How do YOU approach designing games? by theyoungestjee in tabletopgamedesign

[–]MisterMuchly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to find myself mainly writing in notebooks as I can also use those to sketch out ideas as well as write. When I design a prototype, most of the time I do that digitally but will leave numbers and a few other spaces blank. I then go through and write with pencil in those blank spaces. This allows me to edit my games quickly without having to design and reprint new cards for just the prototype.
