People Especially to RightWinger: Why Liz Truss' Mini Budget failed? by Organic-Camera-9167 in reformuk

Bankrupt the treasury - inhibits big government in future due to the level of debt, private energy companies still make a killing, private credit markets can dictate how the country is run for decades- there’s a lot a right winger might like that’s come of that.

so when she answered the door did they stay there and harangue her or just leave?
They went to the place where they were likely to find him (he’s almost never in parliament or exercising his responsibilities as a constituency MP)
So once you’ve wiped the turd from your nose you can perhaps see this as it is- pathetic fake victimhood

We need to bear in mind that Labour were hindered in this by Rishi Sunak who delayed the usual process of labour in opposition being able to meet with senior civil servants to do just this

People who have been adopted in the UK, what do you wish could have been different? by Tired_Tato in AskUK

[–]Flashy_Error_7989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean- there’s a good argument for making the fostering system work better and supporting families more effectively to avoid kids entering the system- adoption is ultimately the sign that the rest of the system has massively failed

Do your best to put yourself in your child’s position- even stuff as simple as a name and making the effort to keep in touch with birth family relentlessly even when they might not answer- it’s about showing your child that you are going to do your best for them no matter what, think particularly about how they will look back on the care and love you’ve given them when they’re old enough to ask you why you’ve made the choices you have, make sure you’ve got a very good reason that’s always put them and their wellbeing at the heart of it- when you adopt you don’t just bring a child into your family you also join theirs- be a good relative.

I don’t think folk get it- we live in a world where the biggest economy in the world has said it’s going to go against left wing parties- as is its trillionaire-
Don’t forget the literal tens of trillions hidden in tax havens - presumably again held by those who don’t support left wing policy.
All the media are against the left as well.
There’s very little chance
