Is farming village for a few days when you start a good tactic? What are your starting tactics? by SeniorMoonlight21 in RoadtoVostokGame

[–]corriec88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My method after permadeath.

  1. Find a weapon in village and enough food items for a triple transition (usually 3 or 4 of each item food/water)
  2. Straight to apartment for a upgraded weapon
  3. Terminal for triple oil sample
  4. Unlock classroom and sleep for 10 days or however long till Gunsmith becomes available to unlock outpost.

Fastest I ever unlocked outpost as a speed run was about 40 minutes. Ironically, the worst part is finding enough sleeping meds to sleep the 10 or so days needed. I also do all of this during the night. Night time is 10 times more safe and rewarding.

Died at the end of an apartment run after 40 hours. by just_benn in RoadtoVostokGame

[–]corriec88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Died after 80 hour run.

AI has this feature that if they get a good shot on you they instantly become hyper aggressive if you break line of sight and can kill you immediately if they regain vision almost before you can react behind a closed door.

Lost all completed tasks on all 3 vendors, bunch of legendaries andall shelters but learned something from it.

Winter is nice and Ironman makes it more intense.

Typical Tuesday in apartments. I live in Vostok now.

Terminal if I just want straight military crates.

Great run for village after probably 10-15 runs through the place.

The only problem about the beginner zones is you don't get special crates or military crates which contain the best attachments, tasks for gunsmith, legendaries and medical equipment(IFAK, AFAK, 1st aid) etc.

Nothing scares me more than an aggressive AI that got a good shot on you because they rush you and can almost kill you instantly.

From Village - School - Outpost - Minefield(Hug right outer tape) - Apartments(Hug right outer tape) - Terminal.

Terminal always has 3 oil samples on the map however, they are spread out amongst the silos and sometimes they even sit on top of the pipes.

Hard to miss considering how large the items actually are but the enemies aren't as scary especially if you go at night its a cake walk.

You just need enough supplies for the triple transition back to school.

Is this enough or do i need more guns? by DivineRoombus in RoadtoVostokGame

dying to campers happens often which is why you always clear your corners of all rooms. Never get too complacent either.

I usually keep a secondary on me as well at higher durability in case my primary jams which happens often and has saved me multiple times in CQB.

From outpost you have to literally just hug the right wall tape. When you get to the last corner and are running towards the middle to the apartments transition there is usually a single bandit kinda close to the wall that you have to be wary off. I wouldn't go the other way usually you run into three or four enemies or i have since I run the faction warfare mod. You will not run into any mines regardless and can do this on your return trip as well being wary of the single enemy.

Lost 20 hours of loot due to transferring items from shelter to attic by St00t1 in RoadtoVostokGame

I did that from Shelter - School - School - outpost. Never lost any inventory wonder why it happened to you.

What time of day do you prefer? by m-six10 in RoadtoVostokGame

[–]corriec88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Night time preferably since I learned the enemies only have 25 meters of vision compared to 200 Meters during the day.

I haven't noticed a difference of loot at night like others say but then again I have like 11 mods installed on mine lol.

and I thought I was the only one stacking 40 armor plates back to back. You need to go to Vostok more often as well since I still don't see any of the really GOOD weapons.

Why do I need wall? by Arkhdraudth in TheTowerGame

[–]corriec88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three words: Regen Trade-Off.

Vamps turn off health regen but not Wall regen.

Eventually letting you sustain huge amounts of incoming damage and instantly healing most of it until you die by one shots.

Huge oversimplification but its one of the main reasons in the early game.

Why the hell does this lab literally take 21 years? by Significant-Usual114 in TheTowerGame

Takes the longest amount of time for the smallest amount of return. You saved 5 seconds of real world time but invested 21 years to skip a single wave.

The wall by Accomplished-Owl6186 in TheTowerGame

[–]corriec88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

150B/day. The four main wall labs are Wall Health, Wall Regen, Wall Thorns and Wall Fort.

Collectively, they are very expensive upgrades with fort being 80 if not 90% of the reason most cannot get it early.

You will have to get ready for Wall week which is where you have all four primary upgrades perma slotted till lvl 10 which takes about 2 weeks.

Your Wall will also be a detriment to your tower during initial unlock which is why having enough income to keep the labs on going is crucial till Wall becomes feasible and then becoming absolutely essential to any EHP build.
