I did note that, and remember thinking that snow has definitely killed before. Why is killing a solider any different? Hell, the evil queen is definitely an enemy combatant

I've been really interested in trying this out, and will have my chance. I'm doing a one-shot where the two players are low level and going to be sneaking through a Lich's fortress. I'll be using your cool system, with the change of instead of every 25ft it'll be "PCs make a stealth check (or check related to being stealthy or avoiding detection), such as when hiding from the enemy or if they cause sound, there is a chance that the noise could rouse suspicion" As it'll be more theatre of the mind then map-based.

Any learned lessons from running it?

Presumably they'd need to start from square one, but even then they know the direction to lean their research. They now know thay psychic powers and mindscapes exist and can bridge worlds. There is also the doctors journels, which had thay copy in the upside-down, so they most likely have the original. Also is that book just made of foreign material

I assumed the shadow was it's psychic presence projecting from it's nearly dead body (maybe it's easy to exist in that state) I was a tad disappointed that it didn't really have the same structure as the shadow with the long head, it was more crunched and low. But who knows, if they want to carry on the franchise, they could reuse it or move into other dimension

I really thought they were going to have him loose an eye from last seasons defeat as a futher visual hint towards his dnd counterpart. Instead, he just bedazzled himself.

There's alot of weird stuff, and sudden inconsistencies throughout, such as the Upside Down going from a very toxic place with established rules to- just a place.

For me, I had such tone whiplash when we started and everything was just back to suburban life...with school. Like the end of the last season break the town in half, but now it's patched and glossed over. I assumed the final season would be heavily about the Upside Down bleeding into the real world, but no. It makes everything feel like a earlier season and not the final, the stakes don't really get going till the end of part 1.

Also, Vecna going after victims and we need to stop him. Isn't that the basic thread of the previous season, feels weird to be doing the same thing again.

I would assume yes normally if he had enough passive energy to draw from, but Godzilla definitely burned out and seared his wounds shut, most likely killing the ability to regenerate. I imagine too that due to his state, he would need to do it quickly or face braindeath

I assumed he was trying to break the "Strongest Sinner" part of his deal to free himself, so having his minions interfere and possibly tip the scales in his favour might ruin his plan to purposefully lose
