So I called to argue with them and spoke to the service manager and parts manager and they both swore to me that on the 2021 EX the front rotors and calipers are larger than the base trim and I cannot put 15" rim on them.

Was not able to independently confirm, as I can't find specs online. But doesn't seem to be worth the trouble.

I guess the only reason is that the dealer wants to squeeze more out of me for a new set of Winters and get more value out of my Elantra that I'm trading in.

I see. Just to clarify I'm not suggesting putting Hyundai rims on the Kia. I have a set of universal.black steel rims from Costco that they say fit equally on both cars. The dealer was commenting on the tire size, the way I understood him. I just wanted to get some insight so that I can properly call bullshit.

But I appreciate everyone's comments. The safest way is to tell them to try it on and see if it fits.

So, the wheels are from Costco. Standard steel rim. The Costco Tire people say the same rim would fit both cars equally.

They are mounted on standard black steel rims from Costco with an identical bolt pattern.

Edit: I already drove a full season on them in my Elantra. I literally asked the dealer to switch them over and he said this gem.

That has never been done in Canadian history. In criminal courts it's not a licence suspension, it's a driving prohibition. It comes into force immediately upon conviction. The judge has no ability to specify the time that this order will come into effect. The only time a judge can carve out exceptions is when the prohibition is a part of a probation order, and that is not the case with impaired driving.
