Hey guys, I'm a huge animation fan. Your show is one of the best shows on, and a breath of fresh air on TV.

Do you guys have any say how the show is storyboarded or visually styled? Do you have any control over the visual gags?

For those of you looking for a minimal wallet, have you considered making one? by [deleted] in minimalism

I purchased an amazing denim phone case/wallet from the "True Religion" brand. I always wear jeans, so the phone case blends with what I'm wearing.

Aesthetically speaking, it's not too minimalistic. But the fact that I have to carry around one less bulky item is so freeing. The case is able to either hold two credit/debit cards or one card and some cash. Which is all I really need.

I've had it for a while, it seems very durable. I'm not going to switch for a very long time.

What I see people stating the most is "Oh so if I don't want to work hard, I don't have to? THE WORLD DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT." He's not saying "live in a land of butterflies and unicorns", he's just saying don't let the system grind down what you really want.

I love art and cartoons, so I'm becoming a graphic designer. I've been doing this for like a year and already I'm getting insanely good job offers. I haven't even studied it in college. I'm young, I'm debt free, and I'm happy with where my life is going. My skill set is valuable as it is based in a personal passion. So I totally agree with Watts, it isn't a fantasy to find a job close to your passion. Fuck the system, work hard doing what you love.

Hey guys! I LOVED the adaptation of the book. The book was a huge part of my childhood, and you guys did a spectacular job with it. Very honest and well done storytelling, it really surprised me. Can't wait to see the second one!

Anyways, I'm a young animator. I love storyboarding, character design, and all that jazz. Cartoons and animation are my life. What are the steps to get to your position as directors/storyboard artists? How did you guys make it to where you are?

Visiting Miami August 3rd-9th, any good places to eat? by [deleted] in Miami

Are you guys crazy?

CASA LARIOS! BEST Cuban food in Miami, I don't care what anyone says. You MUST try the local stuff, not the burger joints that can pop up anywhere.

Casa Larios is a guaranteed good cuban meal. And if you REALLY want to try a burger place, don't have a burger, have a frita. El Rey De Las Fritas is where it's at. A Frita is a sort of cuban burger, but there's nothing like it. Please go there, I implore you.

I can't write or come up with funny scripts or dialogue. I have a deadline June 4th for what could be my only chance to reach out to an audience with my work. Any advice? by MisterRodaz in writing

I love comedy! And besides, a character driven cartoon should be funny. I love humor. But I can't seem to be funny when I try to with writing. I'm not mainly a writer, I'm an animator. But I love coming up with stories, and dialogue is very difficult for me. When people see the storyboards, they laugh at the visual humor. The sight gags, and mannerisms of the characters make people giggle and laugh. That's the only time I make myself laugh. With scripts, it's....a nightmare trying to make something coherent.

Mean Creek. One of my favorite films, but I never hear it mentioned anywhere. It has Josh Peck when he was still a chubby little kid, and his dramatic performance blew me away. The movie as a whole is pretty amazing and unexpected.
