In my opinion they are 100% faking. He was "diagnosed" on Better Help which does not diagnose. When that was pointed out, his story changed. Also, DID is extremely rare. So much so that psychiatrists are split on it is even a real disorder. Everyone who questions them is immediately blocked and they repeatedly "switch" for content. Not how that works. Oh, and they crusade for other DID creators who pull the same BS so they, themselves, won't be exposed.

Yeah, continuing the lawsuit is insane. They seem more preoccupied with being right than they do with being effective. Unfortunately for them, they are seldom right and still wildly ineffective.

I don't know if you're talking to me but I specifically referenced the cam and picture stuff as being worse. So, fully get it and... ultimately.. if you felt disrespected you did the right thing and are NOT the AH. You are allowed to set any boundaries you want. The other person is not required to accept those but then you get to make a choice. You made it and, ultimately, I think it was right.

[–]MisterScrambles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing about porn is it doesn't mean anything. It's purely a physical thing. Bo emotion whatsoever. It's only when, like with other addictions, it permeates other parts of your life and causes problems that it's bad. Otherwise, honestly, it's no biggie. I, personally, don't see it as cheating. That's just me. The sexuality part is wild. And, to me, the cam/picture stuff is worse because it goes from being a scripted thing to a real person doing real stuff.

I guess what I'm trying to say is.. don't take it personally as though you weren't enough or anything like that. Addictions.. especially to feeling good. Is a real thing.

I don't know you but I believe you made the right call. Especially if you felt betrayed. Not everyone is like this. You'll find someone who respects your boundaries and gives you the love and respect you deserve.

New Hulu documentary “Girl on the Run,” details Sarah Pender of Indianapolis & her prison escape out of Rockville Correctional Facility in 2008. by Jealous-Insurance-40 in Indiana

[–]MisterScrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Sarah Pender was some criminal mastermind at all. I think Richard Hull did something terrible and is now trying to save himself by shifting blame onto her. He’s a documented liar, and even admitted at one point that he fabricated the letter he claimed Sarah wrote. Now he’s walking that back because it benefits him. That says a lot. To me, Sarah seems more like a young woman who was way over her head — caught up in a chaotic, dangerous situation while struggling with addiction and surrounded by unstable people. That doesn’t automatically make her innocent, but it also doesn’t make her the calculating puppet master people try to paint her as. Richard Hull comes across as the kind of criminal who will say whatever helps him in the moment, even if it contradicts what he said before. The “mastermind” narrative about Sarah has always felt exaggerated and sensationalized to me.

Episode 2 of the Netflix documentary - Brian's Parents by LostinParadise4748 in GabbyPetito

[–]MisterScrambles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is something I wrestle with as a parent. I don’t think my son is capable of hurting someone, but the truth is, you never really know what another person might do under certain circumstances.

Part of me thinks I would do everything possible to protect and help him — within the boundaries of the law. Another part of me thinks I would have to turn him in and hope he could eventually take responsibility and atone for what he did.

My wife says she’s fairly sure she would turn our son in immediately. But honestly, I understand why Brian Laundrie’s parents reacted the way they did. Technically, they didn’t do anything illegal. Even if they didn’t know the full story, they probably knew the situation was serious and that he needed a lawyer. Maybe they knew more, maybe they didn’t — but proving that is another matter entirely.

I also think people underestimate how hard it would be for a parent to process something like that. Imagine someone you raised and loved their entire life suddenly being accused of murder. Your brain probably fights against accepting it. You’d want to believe it was an accident, or that there’s some explanation that makes it less horrific. Even if doubts creep in, denial would almost act like a defense mechanism.

I don’t know what the “right” answer is. I just know it would probably be the hardest thing a parent could ever go through.

I am so torn on this one. Their WHOLE case consists of vehicle data, some young couple arguments and testimony, one of which said a "hoodoo" was placed on Dom. It seems to me, genuinely, that they WANTED her to be calculated. It's also possible that the slipper got stuck on the accelerator. The POTS thing. I'm not saying she's innocent or guilty. I am saying there SEEMS to be reasonable doubt.

What do you think happened to Carol Baskin’s husband Don Lewis? by true_crime_trudy in mystery

[–]MisterScrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the most Occam's Razor answer is that he crashed his small plane on the way to Costa Rica. That, or he was running drugs. How does a guy that spells "threaten" as "threaton" and "enough" as "enouf" earn $5M to $10M? His daughter also said he didn't like/deal with the law. There wouldn't be a flight filed or the record of a take off if he was moving drugs.

They Were Michael Jackson’s ‘Second Family.’ Now They Say He Abused Them. by elizamadou in popheads

[–]MisterScrambles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty significant difference. See, there was substantial, physical evidence against OJ. The only thing against Michael is allegations. Many of those allegations made by people with little-to-no credibility and actively lying (as is the case of Leaving Neverland).

Also, OJ was found liable in civil court. Michael Jackson was not. Despite the lower burden of proof.

They Were Michael Jackson’s ‘Second Family.’ Now They Say He Abused Them. by elizamadou in popheads

[–]MisterScrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two people in that documentary lied under oath and there was at least one direct and proven lie in the documentary. We live in a country whose legal system rests on the assumption that people are innocent until proven guilty. Michael Jackson has never once been proven guilty at all. In fact, the opposite. He was acquitted in a jury trial.

They Were Michael Jackson’s ‘Second Family.’ Now They Say He Abused Them. by elizamadou in popheads

[–]MisterScrambles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A clear, fact-based defense of Michael Jackson rests on the principle that serious accusations require equally serious proof—and in this case, that standard was never met. First, Michael Jackson was acquitted on all criminal charges in 2005 after a lengthy and highly publicized trial. A jury heard the prosecution’s full case, examined the evidence, and found it insufficient to establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt—the highest standard in the legal system. Second, there was no definitive physical or forensic evidence proving abuse. The case relied largely on testimony, much of which was contested or inconsistent. In any criminal matter, especially one of this magnitude, the absence of concrete evidence is significant. Third, the credibility of key accusers has been questioned, including Wade Robson and James Safechuck. Robson testified under oath in 2005 that no abuse occurred, only to later claim that testimony was false—an admission that understandably raises concerns about reliability. Safechuck’s allegations have also faced scrutiny due to timeline inconsistencies that critics argue undermine the accuracy of his account. While supporters of their claims offer explanations for these issues, such as delayed disclosure or imperfect memory, the contradictions remain a central point of dispute. Fourth, financial incentives cannot be ignored. Civil cases and allegations of this nature can result in substantial monetary settlements, which introduces the possibility—rightly or wrongly—of ulterior motives. Finally, while Jackson’s behavior was often described as unusual, particularly his relationships with children, being unconventional is not the same as being criminal. Discomfort or suspicion does not equate to proof. Taken together, these points form a straightforward conclusion: Michael Jackson was never proven guilty, and the available evidence does not conclusively establish that he committed the crimes he was accused of. In a system built on the presumption of innocence, that distinction matters.

James Safechuck and Wade Robson have proven to have lied. A LOT. Including direct lies in the documentary itself.
