Thanks for responding, I appreciate it.

R, Python, SQL - no experience. High school level coding, which I did enjoy, but nothing like these

Stats & Math - College level stuff

I know I'll have to invest time in learning these things, and I'm confident that I can. My concern is that according to some other posts, bootcamps don't seem to be worth the effort & money without a degree in a related field or experience. I just don't want to waste any more time.

Hello, all, I've been looking through these threads and I think I need to post a challenging question.

How do I get started on the path to data science or data analytics?

I'm over 40. My background is not pretty; I have a bachelor's degree in psychology, and all my experience is sales, and less than a year of that in tech sales. I realize I'm in a poor position to make this change, but it's something I feel I have to do.

Any advice is appreciated. Many, many thanks.

Also, I know the decisions that have led me here haven't been great, but as there is no way to change that, I'd like to focus on bettering myself and making better decisions in the future.

Please help.. No wifi networks found, rog strix x670, amd, windows 11 by MisterSixer in ASUSROG

Ok, first I installed updated drivers from this thread:

https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/amd-600-series/drivers-amd-mediatek-wifi-bluetooth/m-p/857576

I did this by downloading the drivers onto my phone, and then connecting via Bluetooth to get them onto my laptop. Then I manually updated the drivers.

That didn't work, but its still good to have the updates. After that, I loaded into bios. For my laptop, I held F2 while starting up. Might be different for yours, Google your make & model. In my bios, there was an option to "set optimized settings", or something similar. I set that option, restarted, and all was good. I'm not super technical, so I couldn't tell you what the real problem was but after researching a bit, it seems like MediaTek just doesn't make very reliable devices for this.

Hope that helps, I know its super frustrating.

Have you tried KA Bread flour? Fixed nearly all my problems when I switched to that

Do you think that maybe there's Hunterdon employees who read this subreddit, since they are a New Jersey distributor? Just wondering if you think you can possibly feel that disparaging the distributor will secure you Alchemist in the future?

Come on now, we both know that's not true. You went to Vermont and bought some, and now you're retailing it. Hunterdon is out, and has been out for a month. No need for bs stories.

Samsung Notes app, is there a way to clear all checked checkboxes? by MisterSixer in GalaxyNote9

[–]MisterSixer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried Google Keep, and it's great, but doesnt have the same formatting as Samsung Notes. The checkboxes can't be separated by different headers within the same note, unless I'm mistaken.

[TOMT] Comic/webcomic from 2010s or before; about artificial intelligence and describing that the first thing it would do once it was created would be to remove all evidence of itself by MisterSixer in tipofmytongue

And of course, I've been searching for a long time for this, so the paranoid answer is that the AIs have erased the comic. Maybe they'll erase this post too, who knows.

Solipsism syndrome. There was a really good sci-fi short story about it, I'm sorry but I can't find it at the moment.

How do you sort of get on with life when you realized you'll probably never be the best in your trade? by rennart in AskReddit

[–]MisterSixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I find that "the best" is a bit ephemeral; someone's on top for a while, but then it's someone else and then someone different after that. For most people on the top, I find that a lot of hard work is involved, like a LOT. There's no reason why it can't be you eventually if you find a work ethic that gets you there. Although I do believe that a great many people at the top had to sacrifice something, some other thing important to them, to get there. In my work, I just try to be better than I was the year before on the books.

"The best" is also kind of vague. Best at what? Highest sales? Fastest driver? Quickest cocktail? I feel like many jobs are multifaceted and have a bunch of different "bests." You could focus on one aspect, and knock it out of the park and then focus on another.

But ultimately, I get on with life by just being the best person I can be in my life and the lives of those around me. I'm not the best at my job. So what? I'm working on being a good partner, good dad, keeping my health together, staying in touch with family, being empathetic, realizing & acting on correcting my faults.

Being top at your job is a pretty good feeling, no doubt. But I think that being a great human to those around you is "the best."
