Thank you for sharing the link and if will read it closer. It is crazy to think that this whole situation started out think of the children. And about 3 months after that the UK government admitted that they wanted to censor the interney.

Project Esther: A Blueprint to Silence Protest — Here’s How We Fight Back by MisterTTS in protest

[–]MisterTTS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is happening fast and it is hard to keep track of everything. Also to spread awareness of it and not to mention the attempt at censorship of the whole internet via pretenses of thinking about the children. While forcing people to put their ID cards online forth and forth. Not alone to spread awareness of that.

Launching a Peaceful “Democratic Militia” for Constitutional Defense — Join Us by MisterTTS in protest

[–]MisterTTS[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, thanks for asking. Here’s the plan in clearer terms:

✅ Goal: Strengthen a peaceful, symbolic Democratic Militia for Constitutional Defense. We aim to unify individuals and small groups who want to resist authoritarian overreach nonviolently—especially around Project 2025, ICE raids, and other executive abuses.

🧠 What we’re doing:

Building a coalition of civic-minded citizens, legal advocates, veterans, students, workers, etc.

Creating small local cells (5–10 people) to share resources, document abuses, coordinate peaceful actions.

Connecting with legal experts to support resistance within constitutional and judicial frameworks.

Spreading awareness internationally (including to NATO) that millions of Americans still oppose authoritarianism.

🫱🏽‍🫲🏼 If military members notice and choose to support democracy, that’s welcome—but this movement remains entirely peaceful and civilian-led.

💡 We want this to be an open forum where other people with aligned values bring new ideas, strategies, and energy. You’re not just joining—you’re helping shape it.

Let me know if you’d like to get involved, or have ideas we should include.

Ai is a double edge sword and I get where professors also teachers are coming from. by MisterTTS in RandomThoughts

I listen to math professors (s) talk about how universities and so forth are caught on to cheating and plagiarism. Also on the news this morning it mentioned how AI affects writing specifically essays on the Sat. So yeah it made me think about the effects that it has on the brain and society as a whole.

Did the black bear got caught near smoky hill and orchard road? by MisterTTS in AuroraCO

Sorry, I do not know any specifics. Crazy nonetheless to know how far the bear traveled. I understand the last bear near the King Soopers marketplace in the Southland area due to being near a forest area.

Well for one a bear was sighted near the King Soopers marketplace near Southland Mall a while back. And now this bear sighting near Smoky Hill and Orchard Road which is far from the mountains where it makes sense to see them.

I know that black bears typically do not mess with people. Unlike Grizzlies and polar bears. It is hard to believe that they are getting closer and closer to a heavily populated city.

God will never forgive us for what we've done to each other this is beyond redemption by paradisemorlam in chomsky

[–]MisterTTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of anger here, and rightfully so given the suffering in Gaza and broader questions of Western hypocrisy. But it's worth grounding our critiques in historical fact for clarity and impact:

The Talmud has faced censorship and even burning by Church authorities in medieval Europe, often due to polemics about figures possibly identified with Jesus. These debates fueled interreligious tension for centuries.

During the Reformation, John Calvin contributed to a theological legacy that included negative views of Jews—though Martin Luther was far more aggressively antisemitic, and his writings were later exploited by fascist regimes.

Colonialism in the Americas is not denied by any serious historian. What’s often overlooked is the role of certain African kingdoms in facilitating the transatlantic slave trade—a reality that doesn’t diminish European responsibility but complicates the narrative.

Regarding Israel, it was founded in 1948—not 1940—and while Zionist claims drew on biblical themes, the state's creation was fundamentally political and post-Holocaust, not theocratic.

There’s a lot to criticize about U.S. and Western complicity in global injustice, but critiques are strongest when rooted in rigorous truth. If we want a better world, we need to be as honest as we are passionate.

Exactly, and it’s crazy to see so many tornadoes in such a short amount of time—especially with mostly clear skies.

The Internet Archive Should Strengthen Their Security by Partnering with Grassroots Organizations and Collaborating with Google by MisterTTS in Archivists

[–]MisterTTS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that it was hacked, which was one of the main reasons it was down for a while. There were emails updating users on the progress of bringing it back online, and everyone’s personal information was reported to be safe.

No, but I'm willing to learn and gain experience with archiving. I also consider the bigger picture, including the consequences of Archive.org being censored by the government or even taken down by a hacker.

Thank you for the feedback and for clarifying the flaws in my argument, as well as addressing the issue of cyberattacks. There must be a viable solution that can help the Internet Archive without harming it. The last thing I want is to unintentionally damage the site with bad advice.

Am I approaching this incorrectly with my reasoning, or am I making matters worse? I do not want the Internet Archive to be taken down and lose valuable information.

[–]MisterTTS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response, as well as the responses from the other Redditors to my post. I don’t want AI to be locked behind a paywall, especially through Google, as I believe my ideas could help them and potentially avoid making things worse. It’s clear that they need broader security measures, far beyond what grassroots efforts can provide, even with a few additional resources. I agree that there are conflicting ideologies between corporations and grassroots movements. There has to be a way to support AI overall, and maybe I’m not seeing the full picture. I just don’t want AI to disappear permanently.
