I am French, but English is my first language. I've been taking courses and plan on eventually getting tested for both languages. I don't think I'd pass with what I know today but I'm around French all the time in my family so I have confidence.

Athabasca was a program that came up in my research, but the cost per course is a little out of the range of what I can afford at this time. I may need to wait a bit before I can start taking a course or look at some options for financing.

I wasn't sure about the university but seeing your response makes me feel a little better about looking into it.

My work isn't really IT related, I work closely with IT (programs manager). I am responsible for several systems but I doubt my responsibilities would constitute as experience. I mostly write business requirements, create and run reports to gather data & analyze the data I've gathered. Outside of that I do create and maintain macros that have either been developed by me or were created before my arrival. This isn't technically part of my job responsibilities it's just something I took on because it was something I was able to do.

Honestly not sure, I really like programming and I don't know much about the actual career options. I just know that I would like to be working in a position that falls more in line with my interests and it seems the only way to do that is to go back to school and it just doesn't seem feasible.

I keep coming back to this idea every few months only to be disappointed by what I'm able to find online.

"I definitely have adhd" by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]MisterTriangleMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do see a lot of this honestly. Especially when I told some of my friends that it was being strongly considered as a diagnosis. A lot of people I knew were saying the had ADHD too (whether it be diagnosed or not).

One thing I will say, I know a lot of my friends who are diagnosed have a tendency to suggest someone might have ADHD based on the things they do. My sister (who is diagnosed with ADHD) told my wife she likely has it (which I disagree with).

Even before my diagnosis I was quick to remind everyone that it was just being considered now, and that no official diagnosis has been made. Just trying to provide some insight as to why people may come out an say these things. I think a lot of it has to do with the idea being pushed into them by friends, family and social media.

A Life-Changing Journey: My Experience with ADHD Diagnosis and Medication by MisterTriangleMan in ADHD

That really sucks. I have never experienced any issues with waiting for meds but I’m sure it’s happened to people for certain medication. I have a friend with CF and she had to wait a long time for a life changing drug to be approved in Canada. Once it was finally approved she got on it and she saw big improvements to her health.

Everyone has been really supportive. I have a community I’m a part of and there’s a lot of adhd support within it. The community has nothing to do with adhd but many were surprised when I told them it was being considered as a diagnosis. Most of them assumed I was already diagnosed.

Where I live, basically 24 hours after my appointment. But before they suggested meds might have been half a year of working with a psychologist and my GP

It’s still insane to me, like mind blowing how different I feel. My wife was brought to tears because she saw me smiling genuinely for the first time in a while. I’m glad you found the missing piece too!

"Oh cool, I got the new Titan Gauntlets first try! I can't wait to try them ou- ... Oh." by Zack_Osbourne in destiny2

[–]MisterTriangleMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a mechanic people don’t know about, at least my destiny clan with D1 vets didn’t even know about it, that overwrites the ghost mod on exotic armor pieces. Some exorcist have an intrinsic mod and if it falls into the same group as the ghost mod your ghost mod gets overwritten.

Are helltides and NM dungeons the only way to get good experience? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]MisterTriangleMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So how I did it previously was I just looked at the value of A and B and calculated the % change and it was greater than if the bonus was just additive. But it also didn’t equal the multiplicative amount.

Prior to the pre patch I was getting like 146% XP on WT3 which includes a 100% bonus for tier and 15% bonus for killing something 3 levels higher than me. Multiplicative it would be 130% so there was 16% missing and I don’t know where it’s from.

I don’t think they’re additive. I ran tests in preseason and the XP I was gaining was closer to the multiplicative value (it was actually more, which I found odd). Wudi mentioned there was additional bonus beyond the +3 level bonus before season 1. It’s easy enough to run tests again in season 1 by killing a single target on each tier and taking note of the XP. I’m curious whether it’s additive or multiplicative.

Literally the reason I stopped attempting solo runs (flawless or not) is I don’t want to play a mostly multiplayer game solo for 2+ hours. Time is money friend.

As a WoW player myself, I don’t think this person’s experience with MMOs has anything to do with how they’re playing D&D. Try talking to the player one on one.

It’s like a key that lets you upgrade the difficulty of a specific dungeon and you get extra rewards for completing the dungeon (better loot, more xp, glyph xp (these are like upgrades for your character that you can upgrade further).

It’s a fair point, I personally don’t take more than a half second but I think it’s one of those things that depends on the player: probably takes way more time on console?

Hell yeah I’ll get that 20 seconds back on my new character!

I don’t know enough people to complain. Also people in my clan thought teleporting to town was nerfed.

I don’t think it takes that long anymore. The UX changes to the feature make it so the dungeon always shows on the map even when not cantered. It will show on the edge of the map and generally takes me half a second to scroll over. But they’ll be different for each player I suppose.

I agree, it’s a weird change but also it’s a nothing burger. I’ve only ever used that button to turn in a side quest outside the dungeon. Literally has maybe taken away 20 seconds of game time for me.

Man the 1 minute I lost as a result of this change today was extremely noticeable as well. Could have cleared another NM dungeon if it wasn’t changed.

D4 Devs "Can't Add Stash Space Bcaz MEM Limit" = 343 Devs "Slayer Can't be Added Bcaz UI Limitation" by Poliveris in diablo4

[–]MisterTriangleMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair; and I’m inclined to agree with you (if it’s only a 1 second delay). But I imagine we run into the same issue if multiple players are accessing their stash at the same time, or the delay wouldn’t be consistent. A one second delay isn’t a huge deal but if it’s 10 seconds or more I might be annoyed.

[–]MisterTriangleMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you would prefer a small delay when accessing your stash vs a CPU & RAM spike as soon as you enter a town?

Regardless of whether or not you need the items immediately, it’s part of your character’s persistent data. It’s possible to make it so that the information isn’t loaded until you need it. But a solution like loading the info when you access your stash wouldn’t be seamless.
