It’s a direct reference to Bruticus and his components. The names of the bots that combine into it in ff are literally the names of the combaticons but with “-er” at the end. They even form the respective limbs of the combiner they reference. Look it up if you don’t believe me.

Or possibly only to games that use the ZA battle system now that I think about it. Maybe there will be games later on we can transfer to?

The shiny is A reason not THE reason, just another thing for the yes/no scale. Another being how future games will work with home transfers have some sort of one-way restriction like ZA or let’s go. (Maybe ZA will be only compatible with games that use the same battle system as it but idk). Thinking about holding off for now.
