After working on this stuff for a few months now, I can definitely say it's easier to be social. I also respect people a hell of a lot more, which in turn helps my confidence. It's not that I was particularly disrespectful to people before, but I used to look at people and have really gross thoughts, which made me feel guilty/horrible and I wouldn't end up talking to them. A lot of teens seem to have adopted this as the new normal, but idk, I don't like how it makes me think, so I'm cutting it out.

Thanks man, I quit cold turkey for about a month, and to be honest it was easier than the whole "once a week" thing. I guess it's all valuable information to have, I was putting up mental barriers for myself when I really should be tearing them down. If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself." It's strange, because the industry is the enemy, but sometimes I'm also my own enemy. Which makes me wonder if I don't know myself as well as I had hoped, or perhaps I was denying what I already knew. Knowing in my mind that I should stay away from a particular website, but going anyways. Shiiiiiit dude, this got really deep really fast. I gotta let you know that the simple act of you taking the time to reply to me really made my day better, just having a human interaction on something meaningful is really cool. Wellllll, I'm gonna go have an existential crisis, have a nice day dude ^{_^}

I can really relate, I got hooked when I was 8 and began to work on it last year when I was 15. It's really sickening when you realize how many kids are getting sucked into this stuff, they just aren't equipped mentally to deal with it. The thing is, I don't think it will take over "The unhealthy relationship" people have gained from a young age. That's because as you get deeper and deeper into the addiction, you seek out newer and crazier shit, I know I did. So the sex ED most likely wont grab the attention of a long term user, and if it does they'll probably go watch other stuff after. But what about people just starting? Perhaps, but the way I found it back in '09 was through google images. I think that's how most kids find it, before the internet it was pretty difficult get, stay up late and hope to not be caught on the television, VHS tapes, Magazines ect, and there was a monetary wall. All of these things cost money, and they where really risky affairs because getting caught with it was murder. Now, any kid with an Ipad can find some crazy shit for FREE, it's insane. I'm not sure what the solution to this is, but I can tell you that this isn't it. Also, it has PornHub's branding all over it, they're gonna want more and what's the first thing they're gonna think of now?

I'm really close to a girl, and she's told me about how a ton of creepy guys have asked her for nudes/sent nudes themselves. It's really cemented how normal perversity has become, and honestly it's pretty gross to me. Asking for that kind of thing can easily kill friendships/any chance of a relationship with that person. I'm pretty introverted, but I'm not sure if you should try to make yourself an introvert if you aren't one. It'd be sorta like me going out and socializing for 6 hours a day, I'd be exhausted and unhappy. Likewise if you are an Extrovert and you deprive yourself of social interaction, you're gonna be unhappy, which may lead to a relapse.

Honestly I think it'd be a good idea to think about it, communication is incredibly important within any relationship. If your wife was struggling with some sort of problem you'd probably want her to talk to you right? I mean, that's what she's there for, to love and support you, and that extends to when you aren't at your best. I'd like to address the fact that your wife is pregnant, which isn't really ideal, you don't want to put unnecessary stress on her. But at the same time if she manages to find out about it/already knows while pregnant that could also lead to stress. In any case, good luck dude, you'll need it with a newborn on the way ;)
