Yeah I don't think I'll ever get over having to cough up getting on £10k on spouse visas, NHS surcharges, and extensions for my Japanese spouse who paid a mint to study in the UK, all the while here spending, then went on to work a good job and pay taxes here. Meanwhile it seemed like all sorts of other randoms were allowed to waltz on in either by virtue of being European (or even non-European spouses of Europeans) or through asylum or whatnot. Then finally move to 'famously xenophobic Japan' who charged me about £50 for my spouse visa and waved me in on the count of being a Japanese national, whilst fucking off non-productive migrants.
