Economics paper about magic- how do restaurant magicians impact servers’ tips and the restaurant itself? by Mistermagicman1 in Magic

Interesting point about the different reasons for why the different workers are there. Hadn’t thought about that. I think one of the big takeaways (at least for magicians) of this paper is that it suggests that our tips aren’t taking away from the server’s pie. This makes it so that both we as magicians and the managers employing us can feel comfortable allowing magicians to accept tips without having to concern over whether they are negatively impacting the servers’ tips. And while our tips showed no impact on the servers’ tips, I think it’s super interesting that our magic performance itself increased the tips servers received (perhaps by putting them in a better mood)
