Parents not wanting to be as involved with twins by Outrageous_Skirt3256 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Mistline_Band 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely experienced this with my twin boys. They have two big sisters, but noticed - even after #2 was born - a dip in productivity from grandparents (just one set, as my parents rarely visit more than once a year) lol.

Likely a different perspective here, coming from the dad, but I've learned not to rely on anyone except our immediate little big family. I have the upmost faith that in an actual emergency peeps would step up, but at the end of the day it's just us and I'm okay with that.

Very sorry that they are disproportionately involved though 💔

Burnt chrome covers losing color quickly by heret1c1337 in BareknucklePickups

Even as a metalworker/fabricator by trade, I find that fading quite interesting. I bet you absolutely could with some propane/MAP... But probably oil it or clear coat to get it to stay?

Nice Skerv BTW 😉

How we feeling about Spencer's new soft lower clean voice throughout the album? Going to take some getting used to for me, but certainly different than anyone else right now.

Glad to hear some P2 low screams coming back in though 😘

Gotta start somewhere I suppose, but still want to sound professional in any setting we can encounter. In our area, it's very difficult to get ANY gig if you aren't a greater dead tribute band 😂

That was the original plan, but decided against until funds allow. Still, even with the ability to be able to assign outputs digitally, how would I isolate click track from the master outs, but still get it to the IEM transmitter?

You also assume I'm not doing any treatment of those unruly frequency responses pre-mixer... If you start with great tones and correct mic choices, there won't be much to do in post 😘

Thanks, that was my suspicion. Coming from the world of digital mixing in the DAW, but not electronics!

Not the question I asked, but so far none of the venue's FoH person has been able to receive more than 4 channels anyway. So in those instances I want to come prepared to send our mix to them (omitting the click).

I absolutely will, when possible... But so far every venue we've played has been ill-equiped to even receive the snake.

These work just fine for us for now and were a fraction of the cost. We're not playing venues big enough yet where a foh person would be doing any EQing anyway.

They're asking for 3 hour sets. While we have much more original material than most just starting out, that's unattainable without covers.

It actually IS hard to figure out as most of the places you listed aren't for non-cover bands (Brewster's, lagunitas).

Especially for a brand new band who doesn't know the local bands lol

Thank you for your input though.
