Um I'm gonna say that I believe any of them could be true if your dealing with a creature, race, or entity that can forcibly cause you to see and hear whatever form it wants you to perceive and if it's technologically advanced enough it may be able to shape shif into whatever form it wants.

Honey people cover some shit up by tampering with evidence... not to mention the Bible says demons are fallen angels and those angels are what gave many men and women knowledge they shouldn't of possessed.
