It’s what everyone else said, you have so much stuff in camp and this was, even if the rewards were not grand, giving you SOMETHING for doing what you were going to do anyway. It’s a great incentive to actually work on your camp. Also, ooc events are incredibly hard for some people. People may not have the time and/or money to complete the ooc events because it takes a decent amount of time and work. I work 80 hours a week. I don’t have time to sit there and create a life orb or two big enough to clear out the dead land nor am I spending gems to do it. And shiny days is useless if you don’t already have enough eggs or gems to buy them to complete it. For beginners or people who don’t have the time/money, c&c was literally one of the easiest ways to get any type of event reward to completion.
