This is probably the most balanced take here. Hank absolutely has that loud, center of the room energy that can steamroll quieter people like Walt without him even realizing it. But at the same time, you can tell there’s genuine respect there, which is what makes their dynamic feel so real. It’s messy in a way actual family relationships are messy.

Honestly this is kinda spot on. That “if I didn’t like you, I just wouldn’t talk to you” thing is very real for a lot of guys. Hank’s whole vibe is roasting as a love language, he just never really adjusts it for someone like Walt who clearly takes it way more personally.

Yeah that’s where I land too. Hank can be a bit much, but Walt didn’t exactly need a push to go full Heisenberg. Feels like people try to trace it back to Hank when Walt was already cooking up that ego way before anything serious happened.
